On my Panasonic G9ii camera the firmware updates don’t work, if using Windows 11. Twice now trying to update the camera and lens firmware is impossible to do.
So I used my wifes Mac computer and uploaded without any problems.
One learns something new every day. Although the Panasonic G9ii won’t accept the lens update going onto the G9 to check the lens update is already on it.
So it seems lens updates are set on a lens and not on a camera. Nowhere have I ever seen this mentioned, on assumes it is only on the camera the update was done on.
