Over 50's Wales Club

Don’t do cinemas. I wait for them to come on TV, and by then I have usually lost interest. Very warm here I don’t know if I should be envying you or commiserating at your weather. I have been setting up our new BT phones that guarantee to block all scam calls. I am all numbered out feeding all our contacts into them.

Sue-saw Ab Fab with my granddaughter yesterday afternoon. It was okay in parts but I don’t think I’d watch it again. We had fun trying to name the “celebs” in it. The adverts before the film were so loud.

Hi folks…back from a very hot Spain…I managed to smuggle some sun for you all in my suitcase not much I’m afraid but every little helps

You can give it to the Welsh nimby, we don’t need it here. Forecast is 32 C in Hampshire on Tuesday.

Don’t know what the outside temp. is - I haven’t been outside yet - but I’m sweltering already. Wiping the sweat from my brow as I’ve been getting Rob up. His wheelchair is playing up (again) - slowly tipping backwards! Very disconcerting when you see it doing it all by itself! On the phone again this morning to ask for a man to come to sort it. (He didn’t sort it last week so I’m not holding my breath this week)!

Thank you for bringing the sun back Nimby - a glass or two of red would have been good too!!

I’d like to thank Nimby too-lovely sunshine here.:-)Glad to have done what I needed to do early, can sit out in the garden without feeling guilty!

I have been watching a good programme on the Royal Welsh Show that shows the preparation. I found it on iPlayer on Friday evening. Been outside hosing down and clearing terraces. Nothing like water to cool you in this temperature. 35C now forecast for tomorrow. I was going to make a hairdressers appointment for tomorrow, but don’t think so. It’s a good excuse to sit back and chill…

Thick sea mist first thing but now warm sunshine . Its nice here with the balcony door wide open
Watched the Lady in the Van film . It was ok but wouldnt watch it again . Not as good as the hype
Been out to a Doc appt so happy to be back .
Welcome back Nimby xx Have you managed to watch BB while away ?

No Ch5 in Spain Jac …managed to get the gist on FB via my phone…it’s like being back there today…going to be hot tomorrow as well

Yes, close my eyes and I am on a Hawaiian beach today. Pity I have to open them again. Washing didn’t dry, it cooked.

It took me several trips to get the washing in - after each one I had to go and sit in the dining room to cool down! Watched a lot of the Royal Welsh on the TV (Chanel S4C with an English commentary - hooray). Just announced at the end, one of our Young Farmers has been awarded the tenancy of a Snowdonia hill farm jointly owned by the National Trust and the YFC. There will be some celebrating tonight!

Middle son has been rushed off his feet in the forage harvester, going like the clappers all day - and probably half the night.

I went to rescue a lamb with its head stuck in the fence this morning and got my feet covered in nettle stings. Failed miserably to get the lamb out, had to call DIL to the rescue.

How’s your feet Sue ?..Back to class today after 2 weeks…going to be a hot one…I just hope my feet and brain manage to work together…sometimes the steps get lost between them
Keep cool everyone

morning folks, its sweltering here,im shattered already

Lovely sunny morning, going to be hot day.I’m lucky my house is nice and cool, the heat knocks you when you step outside.
Going to meet a friend for lunch will probably find somewhere with seating outside.
Enjoy the sunshine-keep cool:cool:

Feet are still attached thank you Nimby. To be honest, knees are more painful than feet these days!!

Boys are here for the day today, so we’re all (boys, Rob & carer) going on a shopping trip to Leominster Morrisons. At least the van is air conditioned and so is Morrisons! Hoping that the farm that sells cherries has some for sale today.

Its been sooo hot here as well but a bit of a breeze coming off the sea now so more comfortable
Out for a pub -lunch today so glad to be in my Kaftan and chilling out now

Been really hot here today, visited my friend this afternoon and was glad to get home again.

Reached 32C much hotter Michael’s room. We are all wilting big time. I had to pop to Aldi this morning to get bottled water and it was so cool, I could have stayed in their all day. The heat knocked you out when you came out.

Started out lovely sunshine but a thick mist has come over the sea and its really overcast now . Humidity a bit better for it though
What would we talk about if not for the weather lol

Meant to say how sad that another young soldier has died in Brecon during training . You think the powers that be would learn a lesson ,too many young deaths
