She wasn’t Jac, but who would initially. I think the superior medical team at Basingstoke Hospital have a lot to do with it. They do seem to be leaders in this field. They are only the second hospital in the country to start treating Prostate Cancer with Infrared, so that surgery isn’t necessary, causisng less damage to tissue.

They sound a great team looking after your daughter Celyn. Have been thinking about her and hope it all goes OK from now on. For what it’s worth, I think she’s right about Chemo.

Went shopping this morning and had lunch in Morrisons, Leominster. They’ll be getting to remember me there. Yet again I sent two lunches back and asked for fresh. I know a fiver isn’t much for lasagne & chips, but when the lasagne is so overcooked as to be impossible to remove from the dish…

Lovely morning again.Washing already out on the line.
Check up at the Dentist at 9.15.Then going to vote, both places within walking distance.
Enjoy the sunshine.

the sun is shineing here yippee, means i will have to cut the lawns:-(
have a good day all

Its nice and sunny here as well Doc ,just going to put the washing out and then enjoy the day quietly
Good for you Sue , we should complain no matter what the cost of the meal is .I had Scampi recently and they were like bullets ,really overcooked and I sent them back.

We are backward in coming forward re complaining…I blame my mother…don’t make fuss people will stare
Lovely sun but the breeze has an edge to it…
Off to Edinburgh on Monday…6.30am flight !!!..I’ll be semi-conscious for the rest of the day
Fingers crossed for your daughter Celyn…

Thanks Nimby. Since seeing the oncologist on Tuesday daughter is much happier, or as happy as she can be. Her daughter, granddaughter, started A levels yesterday. Everything happening at once.

Beautiful day. Sitting at hospital waiting for a nursing home to come and assess Michael for a placement. People haven’t turned up. Not that we want him to go to a nursing home but we are being forced into doing this by the hospital trust because care package taking a long time to get set up. Feeling annoyed after racing down the motorway to get here.

I did my hanging baskets a few weeks ago. I thought I would put them up today. Hung one up. Hook broke! SPLAT! Plants everywhere. Even more annoyed.

Celyn hope all goes well for your daughter. Sunshine here today I was at the hairdressers then some shopping and the dentist.

Collapsed on settee with a glass of wine. Discovered (at about 6.45pm) that the freezer had died. Luckily I hadn’t opened it all day so everything except the icecream on top was still frozen. DIL rushed home and reorganized her freezer and I phoned a friend, who had half a freezer free. About 90% is now relocated and a new freezer coming on Saturday. Phew!

Lovely morning again.
Blood test this morning so no breakfast.
Good job you realised about your freezer before it was too late to rescue.

Hope all goes well with Michael Celyn, will the Nursing home be nearer than the hospital for you to visit ?
Good job you saved your frozen stuff Sue
Feeling very lazy today so just chilling

Phone call at 6 am this morning to tell me that my freezer would be delivered between 9 and 1. Think I would have preferred an email!

Bright, but no sunshine here this morning. Think I’ll plant my runner bean seeds in the greenhouse.

Sun is trying to come out but its quite overcast and chilly here.
Supposed to go to an 80th b/day garden party later but not feeling too good so dont know if i will make it

Warm one today, although cloudy at the moment.

We don’t want him to go into a placement Jac, we want him home. We feel the CCG will cancel the care package if he goes into a placement. We are having a major battle with our MP involved etc. Can’t say too much because of action that may be taken. Because of his complexity he would be in with patients in a vegative state. He is locked in but doesn’t want to be kept alive. He wants to live surrounded by family, pets, and his own belongings where he can still play a useful part. The placements are few and far between and would be 100 mile round journey, and difficult for children, friends and family to visit.

Off to find something cooler to wear, the motorway will be at a standstill with people going to the beaches and the New Forest.

I do hope you get it sorted Celyn…I can’t imagine what it must be like for you, Michael and your family…(HUGS)

What a dilemma Celyn , just hope it works out for you . Love to Michael xxxx

Rain first thing this morning-now sun’s shining.
Going to a craft fair in the village hall later, then a bit of gardening.
Hope you get things settled soon Celyn,it must be a nightmare for you.

shower here to,now sun is warming up,think its gonna be a hot one

Had a phone call to remind me to go and watch my friend’s granddaughter’s last rugby game of the season-good thing he reminded me,it had completely slipped my mind-this forgetfulness is a pain(or was it I’d forgotten on purpose!)

Its overcast with a chill wind here . I think the heatwave has passed me by but i dont mind because I dont feel so guilty watching TV etc lol
