Had a soaking walking this morning.
Video call from my girls yesterday afternoon.Great granddaughter managed to give me a little smile. She looked so frail, looked like they had to shave more of her hair than usual but it’ll soon grow back.
How was the vaccine experience Sue?Expect it was very well organised there.
Stay safe.
Morning Rhosyn and Jac. Hope your granddaughter continues to improve Rhosyn. It’s amazing how children bounce back isn’t it.
Well so far my arm hasn’t dropped off! Son drove me to Bronllys Hospital. It was very well organised. Marshall with torch showed him where to park and asked what time my appt was. Waited about five minutes then someone with a torch (and much needed umbrella) came to escort me into the building. Sanitised hands, waited another couple of minutes then into a cubicle. Checked that I was Susan Farmer, any allergies? Then a swift jab and out the other side to sit down for a few minutes. Because I wasn’t driving was allowed to go after five minutes. Out through a different door, sanitised hands and escorted back to car and home. Really well thought out and everyone was so cheerful even though it was getting towards the end of the day - and tipping down with rain.
Looks like a horrible dreary day out there - again - better go and make cake.
One of the characters we have been talking about from Bridgerton is on This Morning at 12 pm . Take a look
Really wet and cold here . All quiet
take care xxx
Road into village flooded-no surprise there it’s been raining non-stop.Glad I haven’t got to go anywhere today.
Great-granddaughter came home yesterday afternoon. The afternoon was spent cwtched up on the sofa watching Trolls film.Video call planned for later-don’t know when I can go to see them in person.
Stay safe.
The actress talked about how Queen Charlotte was of mixed race and their were lots of people of colour in the Gentry at that time so ???
Wet and windy here,So sorry for the people who will be flooded out
I had a really bad night so fit for nothing .
Keep safe xx
Sorry I missed that programme Jac. Never knew Queen Charlotte was of mixed race!
Wet and windy here too. Made a pot of lamb stew for the farmers this morning. DIL is at home today so no grandson here. They had a good day yesterday. Son took lambs to market and had a good price for them, and Jamie had his Mocks results, which were good. (His Mum said they would have been even better is he’d bothered to do some work)! He has an interview for Holme Lacy Agricultural College on Friday, so fingers crossed for that.
Just waiting for the bowls to start on TV - watching a programme about maths - to say it’s going over my head is putting it mildly.
Dry-so far this morning, even the sun’s made an appearance.
Went Tesco shopping this morning a bit later than usual.
Feeling so sorry for the people who have been flooded.
Keep safe.
Lovely day today, after a wild night – I even shut my bedroom window.
Gave the bathroom a good going over (could see the dust in the sunshine). Trying to dispose of old paperwork, but finding it difficult to make some decisions. Keep telling myself to get a grip…
Just back from driving to Hay and back to collect a prescription for Rob - only to discover that the Surgery had no trace of the supposed prescription. Grrr!
Was a lovely sunny morning but it’s clouded over now - so looking forward to watching the bowls on BBC2.
Eldest grandson has his interview (via Zoom) for a place at Holme Lacey Agricultural College this afternoon. Fingers crossed.
Had another trip down to the surgery after two phone calls and intervention from Care Provider. The prescription was found, but they only had the cream not the dressing required. Took the prescription down to the chemist in town and got home (in a snowstorm) with the cream - only to find there is no instruction on it as to how many times a day to apply it. Have just had a phone call to say my evening carer may not be able to get here so would I step in. Why is everything so difficult???
Frosty cold morning.
Reading about the vaccination centres on line looks likely that I’ll have to go to Bay Field Hospital in Swansea when it’s my turn for the jab.
Another day for staying in apart from dog walking.
Keep safe.
Where is the Bay Field Hospital Rhosyn? Is it on the Mumbles Road? and how far from you to travel?
Glorious morning here but my road is diabolical. Rob’s carer did get here but I shall be on duty as second carer at lunch time and probably this evening. Hope to goodness it improves a bit by tomorrow for the next carer coming in.
Lovely sunshine here .
Sue the hospital is in Jersey Marine . I had an appt for next Thurs but have cancelled it and they are going to get District Nurse to call .My breathlessness and muscle pain are getting worse and I can hardly walk around flat .
Kids called yesterday with new baby . He is 2 months now but i didnt go too near him. What a shame .
Take care xxx
Started snowing about 2.30am(another sleepless night)Lovely blue sky now just hoping it won’t freeze tonight or it’ll be slippery underfoot in the morning.Dog loves having snowballs thrown so he can catch them.
The Bay field hospital is about 12 miles from here. It’s near the Amazon warehouse on Jersey Marine.
Keep warm and safe.
We’ve had some more snow overnight, but not a lot and Rob’s carer got here from the village OK. Son has just phoned from Aberedw - it’s still snowing there. He was coming up to look at the door latch to Rob’s room but doesn’t know if he’ll make it.
Nothing else happening today - but it is the final of the World Bowls this afternoon - which I shall be glued to.
Had a good 2" of snow yesterday, froze overnight so it’s treacherous out.A car skidded into the wall of the bungalow a few doors down yesterday evening.
Didn’t risk taking the dog out this morning, will wait until it thaws.
Dydd Santes Dwynwen Hapus. Welsh St.Valentine’s day.
Keep warm and safe.
Not sure how much school work is getting done by the youngest grandson today, the noises coming from the laptop do not sound scholarly to me! Glorious sunshine here, but my road to the village is very icy in places. Was supposed to take the car up to Builth last night to have it MOT’d, but decided not to risk it. Booked in for next Monday now (that’s the second time I’ve cancelled, the first time was because of my covid jab.)
Much to my amazement the binmen have just driven down and picked up the recycling boxes.
