What a boring day today - and the weather is awful. Enjoying Grease on the TV though.
Lovely sunshine here after the storm . My balcony window is filthy but i think the forecast is rain so iām ignoring it .

Lovely sunshine here too after a very wild night. Not that I heard a thing, the wind was on the other side of the house. Only problem I found when I went out was one of the black bins was doing its best to leave home - and was wide open!
Heating engineer and son are here to replace the CH boiler. I presume Santa brought it for him - goodness knows how he got it by today. So no CH for the time being. System is being flushed as we speak and new boiler will be commissioned tomorrow. Why do these things always happen at Christmas?
Very stormy night,awake a lot listening to it.
The family usually come for a Christmas dinner on the 27th but not this year,hope to have a video call with them later.
Thereās been an accident on the road into the village- road closed looks like itāll be a while before it reopens,according to the village FB page.

We should have been altogether for lunch today too Rhosyn. Instead I had a baked potato and some hamā¦ and a phone call to the youngest son.
Some sunshine here but rain forecast . Granddaughter wanted to come down and clean my window but I put her off until tomorrow.
Just run the hoover around so thats me knackered .

Feeling a bit low today-son no2 went back this morning.Some snow around as he was driving back,one part of his journey he said that the 3rd lane was not safe to drive on.He went back with a load of goodies,typical Welsh mam looking after his stomach!

Woke up to a cold house and snow. However the fan heaters are going strong and the heating engineers are back to commission the boiler so we should be warm by this evening. They are scanning the ewes at the farm today, donāt envy them. Most will be done in the barn but one group are out in the fields - fingers crossed it doesnāt snow before they get to them.
Overcast with some sunshine here but it is colder. Granddaughter coming to clean my window later I hope .

Dog booked in vet this morning for his yearly booster but the locum vet has been in contact with a positive covid case.Got an appointment tomorrow instead.

Warmer today, thank goodness (inside the house I mean). Snow has gone from the valley but the hills are still white. I have done sweet f.a., apart from dozing in front of TV and eating chocolate. Just wondering what to have for teaā¦
Another cold morning.
Dog had his booster injection this morning.Had to wait in the car while he had a health check and injection.Vet said he was in good condition.

Itās been snowing here.Itās the first snow the dog has seen,he kept snapping at the flakes as they fell.Threw a few snowballs to him he loved that.Thankfully itās stopped now and the sun is shining.
Going to start taking the decorations down today-never keep them up until 12th night,they get on my nerves.
Wonāt be staying up to see the new year in.Will be tucked up in bed by 10.

I have just been wondering why on earth I put the usual decorations up at all this year. With the exception of the tree, which I have enjoyed, no-one has been in the other rooms to see any of them and I know I shall have to get the lot down, probably on my own. Grandson keen to put them up but not so keen to take them down!
Glorious sunny morning here, but the snow is lingering on the hills. So pretty from inside.
For the first time in many many years I shall be at home tonight - so Iāll probably be in bed by 11 pm. Will really miss my friends from the farm at the top of the hill, we must have seen dozens of New Years in together.

WHITE RABBITS and Happy New Year, again. Canāt say it too often.
Had a phone call from the family at the farm to say āCome and see the NY in with us, we have pigs in blanketsā. Couldn;t resist, so didnāt get into bed until about 1 am and had a lie in this morning. We watched Skyfall (son must have watched it half a dozen times, he knows much of the dialogue, and played cards. Happy day.

I went to bed at 10.30 watched the new year in on my tablet. Had a few messages on my phone as the new year came in.

Went down to the garage this morning for a paper and came home in a snowstorm. That was a bit of a shock! Thinking about taking the decorations downā¦ just thinking about it.
Dismal here this morning-weather canāt make itās mind up either to snow or to rain.
Having a new washing machine delivered this afternoon between 3 and 5oāclock.Iāve paid extra to have the old one taken away and install the new one.My old one has been playing up for a while.Iāve had it years,did think of having it repaired but decided to start the new year with a new machine!
