Still haven’t finished off the jam. Hectic morning with OT who came to sort out a problem with Rob’s slings, and stayed for ages. Family went off at the crack of dawn to Market Drayton to buy more calves so Chris had a sleepover with me last night and I picked him up from the school bus.

Halfway through the afternoon the plumber rang! Shock amazement. He reckoned he’s only just recieved the message on his phone that I sent him a fortnight ago! Was going to come this afternoon, but that went pearshaped so now is coming in the morning - see my fingers?

Quite a chill in the morning but nice and sunny.
Granddaughter and children were here yesterday afternoon, the two children were playing up-they were over tired so they didn’t stay as long as usual.
Someone who was in the local rugby club last week has tested positive for Covid.Don’t know if he was from the village.
Staying in today-catching up on housework.
Have a good day.

lovely day here .
Gave my daughter a scare yesterday . I had asked her to phone me daily because i felt so lousy. Laura was trying all day ,phone was ringing and no answer .so she phoned Karen . All the phones and internet in the flats had gone down but no way I could let them know . Karen and Teri came straight down and Karen burst into tears when she saw me AWWW Phones back on now

Good heavens Jac, what a fright Laura and Karen must have had. Glad you are back in contact with the outside world!

You know that thing about the dentist, when you have raging toothache, get an appt. and the toothache promptly disappears? Same thing with the plumber - the header tank that has been overflowing onto the conservatory roof for yonks, suddenly stopped yesterday afternoon and the plumber arrived this morning. However he has fixed the gadget on my kitchen tap that has been spraying everywhere for weeks so I’m a happy bunny.

Another lovely day and I have finished the jam. Removed about 5000000 stones from the damsons but I can still see some in the jars! Tough sh*t! I nearly passed out standing over the cooker, removing stones.

Lovely sunshine here and i’ve put some washing out .
Karen is due down to take my recycling

Lovely sunny morning-washing blowing on line.
Hate cleaning the oven but tackled it this morning.Think I deserve the afternoon off after it!
Have a good day.

Down to Hay this morning for a haircut - gone up to Ā£18, suppose that’s inevitable. Did some shopping afterwards but have to say I detest the Co-op. They have a one way system in place - fine - but I always seem to miss out an aisle and then find myself going the wrong way to get at something I need. Luckily it wasn’t very busy this morning, so I ended up reversing up a couple of alleys!

Another lovely day and yet more washing on the line. I can certainly tell Rob is home by the state of the washing basket…

Lovely sunny one so i’ve changed bed and sheets are out . I hate that job
Not doing much ,just chilling . News is depressing isnt it

Have been down to the village today with friends to ā€œline the routeā€ for an old friend who died (at the age of 97) in a Care Home in West Wales. Her daughter moved her down there a few years ago. So glad they have brought her back to the village to be with her husband and son who died some time ago. We have had a few giggles. She was always late - to the extent that if I was going to pick her up I would tell her an earlier time - and was a devil for pinching cuttings from unusual plants in various gardens that we used to visit. Lovely memories. RIP Betty.

Sun a bit late getting up this morning, but it looks like another lovely day.
Had a nice walk up the mountain earlier, the trees are looking a bit sad loosing their leaves.Dog had a good sniff around, keep him on the lead while up there because if he the scent of something he’d be gone. It’s his 1st birthday today.
Had some bark and compost delivered yesterday so gardening this afternoon.
Getting a bit concerned about more cases of Covid happening.I think that pubs should close again, people get complacent after a few drinks and forget the rules.
Have a good day.

A lovely sunny one . I agree ,some of the rules dont make sense. Whats the difference between closing early at 10pm and the normal time of 11pm ?
Lana’s Covid test was negative so back to school for the twins and work for mum.

I was wondering what difference pubs closing ā€œearlyā€ would make. Folk would just stand outside and gossip anyway if chucked out early.

Shock in Church this morning, Vicar leaving. Mind you, I said when he arrived he’s only last a few years! (He’s rather high church and inclined to enjoy the sound of his own voice rather much, which doesn’t go down too well in the country!) He’s going to a parish in Brecon, so perhaps he’ll find that suits him better.

My DIL heard from a friend who runs quite a large shop in Crickhowell this morning that they are having difficulty sourcing electrical items. Discussion between us as to the advisability of buying a spare washing machine! Mine is horribly noisy, hers is fairly new, so I’m seriously considering lashing out!

Lovely sunshine here .
Karen had visitors from Hong Kong yesterday and they couldnt believe how lax everything was coming through the airport compared to Hong Kong.
Keep safe and enjoy xxx

Lovely sunny morning again.Bedding out on the line.
Had gas boiler serviced this morning, wasn’t due until next month but thought I’d have it done in case of another lockdown.
Enjoy the sunshine.

Another lovely sunny day and loads of washing out on the line.

Carers slightly concerned about Rob, so tried to get through to the Surgery. What a performance. Rob is supposed to be on the ā€œVirtual Wardā€ but it still takes forever to speak to someone.

Nothing seems to be easy these days Sue
Very overcast and looks like rain here , not what I expected .
Ran around with the hoover so thats me done
Have a good one xx

Turned out Rob was constipated and had urine infection - though no temperature, which fooled us. However after the ministrations of the District Nurse and started on antibiotics, much better today.

Another lovely sunny morning, so put the parasol up - promptly clouded over. Put the parasol down and half an hour later the sun was back out. Still, washing is drying. Bought my spare washing machine - being delivered tomorrow.

Back to the rain today.
Had my flu jab yesterday. There was a queue but it moved quickly and inside the community centre the two nurses doing the injections were super fast with their needles!
New fence panel and post delivered yesterday, decided to paint them before they’re put in place.
Last night didn’t know which side to lay on-left arm was a bit sore after the injection, right arm aching after painting.
Granddaughter and children coming this afternoon.
Have a good day.

Glad Rob is on the mend xx
Started off a bit rainy but its clearing up now .
Tesco has been and I’m waiting for meds to be delivered so thats my day
