Decided to go to Matalan this morning to see what’s on offer-cheap and cheerful that’s me.Haven’t been to a clothes shop since before lockdown.If it’s busy there I won’t bother.Just feel like doing something different!

I lost my telephone signal and wfi last night .Also lost my Lifeline . Bit of a worry. My wfi is back and the phone has a connection but the line is very garbled so hope it rights itself . We really depend on these things

Heavy drizzle this morning.
Had quite a successful shopping trip yesterday.Bought a sweater and blouse for me, a dress for my g.granddaughter and a jumper for g.grandson(which I’m going to put away for that thing that’s happening in December)

Still no phone and losing wifi now and again . Daughter called yesterday and got through to BT and engineer coming tomorrow .

Son no1 is taking some things to the tip for me later.His appointment is at noon,he also had to tell them what he was taking there.

Cloudy this morning,hope it brightens up later got the washing in the machine.
Granddaughter and children coming after school,sausage and mash on the menu.
Had letter from surgery re flu jab.My letter is yellow so my appointment is on the 22nd between 11-12 in the community centre in the village.Different colour letters means different times.They seem to be well organised.
On BBC2@4.30 today there’s a program about the blitz in South Wales,it’s been shown before.My mother was a midwife in Swansea during the war.

Cloudy this morning,rain forecast later.
So from Monday we will have to wear masks in shops,it had to become compulsory sooner or later.There are a few more regulations too,will watch the first minister’s statement at 12.30.Hope there won’t be a full lockdown.

Had a phone call from Gdaughter who is visiting sister in Liverpool . A drunk driver wrote off her car which she had left outside her house . The driver was still there in his car . My poor ggrandson is having to cope with police etc . No one was hurt so thats a good thing

Did quite a bit in the garden yesterday,will be out there again later.
Wore a mask in the village shop when I went for the paper earlier.One man came in without one and was told that it law to wear one,he said to the shop keeper that it was up to him to supply them!

Glorious morning here, I have put up the parasol to keep some of the sun off the conservatory and the doors and windows are all wide open.
Sorry I haven’t posted the last few days - sheer laziness. All is going according to plan with Rob’s regime, though I think we may tweak a few things in the next week or two.
Booked myself a flu jab this morning (for 6th October) but not sure whether Rob should have one. Trying to get a word with the Dr but have to go through a triage nurse first - and can’t speak to one until tomorrow afternoon. Makes you wonder what they are doing down in that surgery…
Nice to “see” you Sue. My flu jab is on the 22nd.
Hot here too-had to come in from gardening,will wait until the bit I’m working on will be in the shade.
Sun’s broken through after a cloudy start.
Hair dresser came at 8 this morning.She was hoping that there won’t be another lockdown to stop her doing her rounds,she’s already cut down on her clients.

My grandaughter has bad news again . Her 14 yr old has symptoms of Covid . No smell nor taste so she was sorting out a test and they have to self -isolate .She is a twin so look out.

Popped over to a friend this morning and came home with damsons which are now simmering on the Aga for jam. Trouble is the temperature is 23 degrees, so not looking forward to standing over them fishing out stones! Ah well, must suffer to enjoy.
