Big event today. Drove to Hay Surgery to collect meds for Rob. They have installed a window hatch for prescription collection, but it’s not very obvious where it is! When I finally got instructions and went to collect, the receptionist discovered that Rob’s meds wouldn’t fit through it, so I had to go into the Surgery after all to pick it up! Not another soul in sight so I didn’t have to put the mask on that I had in my pocket.
If I’m not careful I’ll have to put diesel in the car - haven’t done that since March, which was the last time I was in Hay!
Nice to see the sun this morning,looks like it’s here for the day.Washing machine on-nearly done.
So glad to have my hair cut yesterday,appointment made in 5 weeks time.

Third load in the washing machine. This flippin’ cricket match is stopping me listening to Radio 4 in the conservatory and there is no internet signal out there so can’t use my i-Pad. Grrrr !
It’s far from peace and quiet in the countryside. Everyone was out mowing like crazy yesterday and today there is the drone of the forage harvester with only a few breaks for drinks.
It was meant to be the village carnival today(the first one for about 5yrs due to health and safety)but it’s not happening until next year.Some of the villagers are going to walk in fancy dress collecting money for the family who lost everything in the gas explosion in the next village couple of weeks ago.

Daughter just called in and had been to an old lady in a sheltered complex to do her hair . She has been going for years and usually does a few ladies . She was stopped today and is only allowed to visit one at a time and then go home and change clothing .She has got all the gear to wear but that wasn’t good enough . It wont be worth her while to go and visit just one at a time .The salon is opening on Tues and she is not looking foeward to wearing the face shield all day. Strange times

Wrote a great long screed on here about my visit to the dentist on Tuesday - which vanished, but you’re probably glad about that. Suffice it to say that the dentist couldn’t remove the temporary bridge (cement was too strong) without drilling - and he’s not allowed to drill, so my visit lasted approx. 5 minutes! Called at local supermarket to pick up a few odds and ends (wearing a mask) and trying to socially distance. Disgusted to find that most of the population of Hay (and visitors) were bobbing about like blue **sed flies and hardly a mask in sight. Couldn’t wait to get home and won’t be going there in a hurry again!
Forecast all wrong today and the sun is shining and washing on the line. Sadly there is another flippin’ test match in progress so can’t listen to my little radio. Luckily I can get BBC Sounds on the i-pad, but that won’t work in the conservatory or Rob’s room.

Granddaughter popped down with her 3 yesterday .The twins are real teenagers now and had said they were going on a sleepover and 10 of them decided to sleep out in the park so they are grounded !

Been on a cobweb hunt this morning. Then discovered my G=Tech was full of gunk so have washed that out. Feeling virtuous. Just waiting for washing machine to finish so I can get that lot out on the line. Must think about taking laundry back to local hospital. Girls are chucking sheets into the laundry bag with gay abandon and I’m getting rather fed up with it. (Rant over)
Not much sunshine here at the moment but I have chanced a bit of washing out.
My daughter is enjoying the new method of working in the salon . Its by appointment only so better than the free for all normally . The takings are really down though despite prices being increased .
