Changed the bed, washed everything, all dry, ironed, and in the airing cupboard. Still wrestling with the jigsaw. Friend has lent me (over the course of the past four weeks) the entire series of “The West Wing”, I’m going to put the last episode on tonight! Whatever am I going to do tomorrow?
Quite windy and chilly this morning.
Our little row of 6 houses have got bunting out ready for VE day on Friday. One kind neighbour sewed them for us.She also made some for the church railings opposite.
Got a bit of ironing to do nothing else exciting planned.
Keep safe.
Much chillier today and trying to rain .
Daughter is calling down later to bring me a few bits of shopping
Going to put a pan of chicken soup on later, still using my freezer bits up
Stay safe xxx
Made cake for the family this morning. An old favourite (frangipane, called twirly cake by us because our dog used to go nuts when she smelt it. I have to be in the mood to make it because it is a bit of a fiddle, but it’s worth it when it comes out of the oven. Have finished all the series of the West Wing. Know a lot more about the political organisation of the USA, but still don’t fully understand it - talk about complicated…
Sunny and breezy,great drying day.
I store my Summer clothes in vacuum plastic bags, great for saving space but clothes come out all creased,so more ironing for me in the next days.
Have a good and safe day.
Nice and sunny but quite cool.
I cant remember the last time I had the iron out nor cooked a cake . Not my favourite things to do.lol
Tyler is 18 today ad its a shame he cant celebrate as he would like to .Never mind ,hopefully we can have a belated one .

Fine first thing this morning.
Put clothes on the line shouldn’t have bothered-raining now, didn’t know rain was forecast.
Made a shopping list for my thrilling trip to Tesco in the morning!
Have a good day.
Sue-did you see sewing bee last night? Can remember my mam doing smocking on my dresses when I was little, she did it by hand not on a clever sewing machine!
Yes I did. Love the Sewing Bee. I’ve never done smocking (either by hand or by machine) and my mother’s sewing ability was confined to sewing on a button (but she could knit like a demon). So I never had a smocked dress, but plenty of hand-knitted jumpers and cardigans. I particularly liked the little yellow dungarees that won, so pretty and practical.
Such a day full of “visitors” yesterday - all socially distanced of course.
A friend dropped by for coffee - she sat on the patio and I sat in the conservatory. The family (and pup) came over and cut the lawns and moved the sheep - while I played with the pup. He knows his name and can" sit" now. Then another friend brought our prescriptions from the surgery - and some self-raising flour that I swapped for some plain flour. Finally had a delivery from the butcher. What an exciting day!
Made a massive chicken curry this morning, Rob had some for lunch and the rest will feed the family. Loads of washing on the line and we had some big spots of rain, that prompted a panic. Should have left it out, sun’s shining now.
Did my shopping in Tesco-was in the store@6.45.There seem to be more men than women shopping today.
Stopped on way back to take pup for a walk.
Neighbours going out on doorsteps at 11 to observe the 2 minute silence. Then we are having a tea party@5pm-each of us in our front gardens for VE day.
Have a good day.
Bit overcast but not bad
Laura is popping down later but has said she wont come in . She called with shopping last week and only stayed 10 mins . she felt ill next day so had the Covid test but it was clear tg. She was scared stiff she would have given it to me . I’ve been feeling so lousy I wouldn’t mind having a test to see if I have had it . Prob all in the mind .
I’ve managed to get shopping slots in Tesco right into June. What a thing to get excited about !!
Keep safe xxx
Quiet in here !!
Lovely calm and sunny one ,tide is right in .

Sunny but quite breezy.
Had a nice distancing tea party on Friday, two of the neighbours dressed up as land girls. There was an original WW1 ambulance that drove thro the village in the afternoon that was really something.
Had a down day yesterday but bit better today.
Keep safe.
I’ve done sweet f.a. for days - apart from the fact that I’ve cooked lunch and finished my jigsaw.
Lazy wind today-it doesn’t go round you-it goes through you!Nice sunshine but really cold.

My builder finally arrived to replace the chimney pot today - thank goodness. No more fumes down the chimney when the east wind blows! Managed to clean a little area where I normally put on my lippy before going out - felt quite chuffed when I finished it. Lovely sunshine here, but blowing a hooley and very chilly. Electric blanket back on for tonight. My bedroom window faces north - we have a north wind - and the bedroom is like a fridge!
Frosty this morning.Going to be sunny and not cold like yesterday.
Up at daft o’clock, done a few jobs and put the washing out on the line.
Was glad to take bunting down yesterday-it was getting on my nerves flapping in the wind.
I think Wales have got it right not to change the stay at home rule.
Keep safe.
I think so too Rhosyn, I won’t be going anywhere anyway for quite a whileI’m afraid.
Such a lovely morning here, washing in, washed up, sorted yesterday’s washing, ironed two pillowcases, what to do now?
Just going to put my bit of washing out after rearranging the dust in the flat .
Nice and sunny but much colder.
Have a good one xxx
