Over 50's Wales Club

Sun has come out at last.Had a bit of rain last night.
Out in the front again@8 clapping for the nhs, good turn out from the neighbours.
Went shopping to Tesco this morning, got what I needed,it was well organised there and not too busy and shoppers were well behaved!
Have a good day.

Delivery from Asda today - also from our local butcher. Freezer and pantry now stuffed. Asda delivery man told me they would be opening up more slots at 12 noon today and I tried for another delivery in a fortnight, but I think there is something wrong with the way my computer is behaving. It was only offering me C & C (from Merthyr?) and that only until 10th April.I have tried in vain to contact them, they just say that due to heavy demand they haven’t got time to answer! Ah well, give that up I think, onwards and upwards. Hope you are all well.

Hello from an overcast and chilly Caswell. No sign of promised sunshine .
I’ve got another two slots from Tesco but cant go any further.
Karen and Joe called yesterday to take my rubbish down and to give my my Mothers day Whisky !! They kept away from me and wouldn’t have a cuppa and only stayed 10 mins ,strange times

Feeling cross and sad tonight. Sad to hear of the death (heart attack) of a popular local vicar, a real larger than life character. Only glad it was a heart attack and not the virus. Cross when I see pics of Londoners NOT staying home.

DIL and youngest grandson called to see if I was OK and to tell me that they are getting a new Huntaway puppy - in 2 weeks time, he’s too little to leave his Mum atm.

Up at daft o’clock.Took pup for an early walk.Quite windy out.Boiled a ham joint, will have some for lunch.Made some cawl with the stock-enough for next two days.
Comes to something when your son sends you a pic of the french toast he made for breakfast yesterday!
Sad news about your vicar-Sue
Sad news too about the 5year old who has died from the virus.
Stay safe.

Sun is trying to come out ,quite windy though.
I’ve been trying to get a slot for Tesco for end of April but all full ,I guess I,ll have to double up on next weeks order. I’ve only got a tiny freezer though
Keep safe xxxx

Sunny and very windy here atm (and it’s an east wind so not very warm). I guess I will have to depend on my DIL putting extra on her Asda order from now on, unless I change the browser on my computer and have another go at Asda. I have heard that it is possible to register with Sainsburys as vulnerable and get priority slots, may try that.

Rained quite a bit last night-was awake a lot so could hear it against the windows.
Early morning walk done, might sneak out again later-don’t think I’ll be reported being out twice seeing that we’re out in the sticks!
Stay safe.

Few spots of rain but sun is out now
Karen wants to come down later to pick up some unwanted wood dumped in our car park . They want it foe a DIY project . She just phoned and I said I would disown her if they were caught . They are in the car now crossing the common.Police are out asking where people are going ! OMG ,not making my nerves any better

Good luck Jac - can’t she say she’s delivering groceries to you.? Just having my coffee and then I’m going back to my jigsaw. Don’t know how long this lockdown is likely to be but I’m thinking of making a book over which will be finished first, the lockdown or the jigsaw…

I would say the jig-saw. - but then I am a bit of a pessimist, nor do I know how long it take you to do jigsaws. If you are like me -five days - give up and put it quietly back in its box - ready to be returned to the charity shop.

Footoprints - Never, ever give up!!! If I could I’d post pics of progress on here. I’m rejoicing because I’ve put four pieces in this morning! Have never had one with such a difficult edge though. Each piece seems to fit equally well in several different places.

Lovely morning here, washing in the machine and remains of a casserole to heat up so I’ll be back to the jigsaw any minute…

Can’t for the life of me do jigsaws-even children’s ones, the big pieces ones aren’t too bad!
Lovely morning, bedding out on the line and pup walked.Going to tackle the inside windows after my coffee.
Had Boris’ letter this morning, bit ironic him being in intensive care.Copy in Welsh too.Da iawn.
Have a good day.

I had my letter as well. Nothing in it apart from what we are being told a hundred times a day on the TV.
Karen got home ok with her wood !!
Just finished my Tesco order for tomorrow , I’ve added a few things for neighbours . Our handiman dropped the list in ,don’t even know some of them . Still cant get any slots after next week

Just as I think life is too short to stuff olives, I also think its too short to wrestle with a difficult jigsaw, but I do probably give up too easily. Have you tried doing jigsaw puzzles on line?

Nice day but a bit overcast
Tesco has been but some of the things like flour and sugar that I was getting for my neighbours were not available . I ordered 2 litres of whisky to keep me going and they sent 2 -70cl bottles and 3- 35 cl. They will go down all the same I suppose lol.

Yes but somehow it is not as satisfying as feeling that piece you have been searching for click into place!

Another glorious day here. Had to fill up the water tub for the ewes this morning, they are drinking several times a day it is so dry. Loads of laundry on the line and I’m now going to grill some bacon for lunch.

I had Boris’ letter and leaflet (x two) but would far rather the Ā£5million had gone to the NHS.

Up at daft o’clock, done a couple of jobs.
Going to Tesco early this morning to get essentials and need 3 birthday cards,April and July are the months when there are several birthdays.Hopefully by July the birthdays will be able to be celebrated in person.
Stay well and safe and enjoy the sunshine.

Lovely sunshine and calm sea here ,lovely to look out on
Still no slots for Tesco , I’m alright for next week so will have to double up and then live on my stock. Wish we knew when this would be over .I think I will appreciate ā€œnormalā€ things a lot more .
Take care xxxx

It was busy in my local Tesco(it’s not one of the very big ones, but not the express type)
The checkout lady said it had been busy since it opened at 6am.Still no flour but got all I needed,ok now for quite a while.
It’s going to warm this afternoon-going to sit in the garden.
