Just been watching the news about the rancid turkeys from Tesco so perhaps its good that they let me down with mine . The one I bought from West Cross was fine . Curry tonight xxx
Shopping postponed again and my yard is like a skating rink! Wondering if Iām going to make it to town in the morning to get the meat for family get-together tomorrow night. May have to postpone that too:-(
I had to cancel what my grandchildren call āFake Christmasā yesterday,my friend had an accident on the M4 driving home from here Boxing Day afternoon.The car aquaplaned and landed upside down on the hard shoulder.He was taken to Morriston A&E,he was very lucky to come away without serious injury.Heās going to stay here for a few days,so Iāve got my nurseās hat on.
Had some snow showers yesterday,very frosty this morning.
Made it into town - and there wasnāt a flake of snow there! Family all arrived this evening and have just departed, full!! Itās been a lovely sunny day here but v cold and crunchy underfoot in the yard - at least not so slippery.
I had a really sunny day here yesterday but must have poured down all night. It was still raining when I got up but I.ve had the window open until just now . My daughter popped in and couldnāt believe it ,she said it was freezing in town .

Took a friend shopping this morning (her husband is no longer allowed to drive and she doesnāt) and met all the neighbours in the local Co-op! The outside temperature is 10degrees but itās so damp it feels colder.
My friend took me shopping this morning in his hired car.We went on a straight road where he didnāt have to turn his head.He wanted to drive after his accident asap.He was aching afterwards but if he improves in the next day or so heāll be able to back to his home and will give a rest from my nursing duties!He keeps saying how lucky heās been.
Started taking the decorations down this afternoon,will be nice to get back to ānormalā

Iāve started putting away and clearing up but have left the decorations until the boys come. Off to Church shortly, then a quiet afternoon and off to visit friends to see in the New Year. Weāve celebrated it together for more years than I care to remember.

Took all the decorations down yesterday.All on the spare bed waiting for son no1 to put them up the attic.
Friend going back tomorrow after lunch.Heās moving better today.
Donāt know if Iāll stay up to see 2018 in.Midnight is way beyond my and the dogās bedtime!

After a horrid start to the morning the sun is now out, hooray! Robās girlfriend is on her way from Devon and Iām making cottage pie for lunch.
Same here Sue . Lots of folk enjoying the beach with dogs and horses . Iāve hovered through and I had to change out of my jumper to a t-shirt . Its good to see the bulbs coming through and my Cape Daisy is flowering and Iām sure its a Summer flower ,

Poured all day here and itās nearly dark - again! The good news is that Jamieās had the cast off his arm and had a good report on it. He was thrilled to get in the bath when he came home and have a good soak. He has to be careful in school and no sport until next September - but he can swim - and run.
Didnāt have much wind last night but it rained a lot.
Had a good clean around this morning.Have ordered a cordless cleaner so hopefully itāll be here tomorrow.Finding my old Dyson heavy to use.

Waves were roaring up the beach last night but better now . Looks like it may rain later.
I gave in and talked to a PPI man the other week and had notification saying I was due small amounts like Ā£2 10 p and Ā£3 60 etc , not worth bothering but this week I had one for Ā£70 and then Ā£10 soooo waiting for the big one
Took the boys swimming today and glad to report that Jamie was very sensible. Halfway there I suddenly thought that they might have the big inflatable obstacle course in the pool and that he might be tempted to have a go on that, but, thankfully, they didnāt have that today, so he managed very well just swimming (sort of) and going down the slide with his arms crossed! They both managed a large plate of ham and chips afterwardsā¦
Fed up with all this rain.The road into the village was flooded yesterday.
Going to your part of the country today Jac,having lunch in Mumbles.Havenāt been there since the alterations,will be strange not being able to visit Treasure!
