Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Thanks, myrtle, May and valentino.

I dont drive that much now. I cycle as much as possible and as I seldom go into the towns, I am thnakful for that. I do drive at the weekends as the shopping, visits, etc need to be done then. So, I realkly was surprised that it was such a nightmare. It left me thinking;

a. They do not welcome visitors who travel by car into the city,
b. The road layouts have got out of control - as have the buses - and lack clarity,
c. It is just one huge tax trap for visitors.

I wont be going back in any time soon.

Good Morning Each,a very cold bright frosty one here and a day for catching up with the housework and a cook up for the freezer,

As for Glasgow,I would never knock it or the People who live in itā€¦salt of the Earthā€¦but Iā€™m not a driver and Everyone I know would never dream of taking Their car to drive thereā€¦let the train take the strain

Hi and welcome Ossian .
The last time I drove to Glasgow airport I came off and the wrong junction and found myself among houses . I was absolutely terrified . I was on my own and had no clue where I was . I was so scared my legs were shaking and I could hardly drive . Somehow I managed to get back to where I wanted to be . I was so terrified I said never again and have never driven there since . So I know exactly how you felt .

Good morning all. The day has started very birght, very cold and frosty where I live. I am about to take my life in my hands and go out cycling. That means avoiding the ice and trying to breathe in these freezing temps.

At least I am not driving thoā€¦ That way I cant break too many restrictions and be fined further!

And I agree with May, having been born in Glasgow, us people are the salt of the earth!

Good morning everybody. It looks like a cold wind out there today.Abbey I used to drive to the airport the back road to pick up my brother who then drove home on the motorway. I hated driving on them. Going into town later to meet friends for a coffee and a chat.

Good morning

Jess ā€¦ yes Iā€™m dancing this afternoon and also had a twirl round the dance floor on Saturday night

Good afternoon

Oh dear May !!! Itā€™s annoying when that happens but at least you had some cash to buy a coffee

Good morning everybody, dry here this morning. Off to visit my friend in hospital later.

Good morning

Hi everyone . Itā€™s bitterly cold here . Had a short walk around town . Bought some small things to take when I go to visit my grandson next week .
Had a nice coffee and then home .
Not much else happening apart from the usual dogwalking .

Good afternoon

Abbey ā€¦ I take t you are going to the IOM to visit your daughter ā€¦ how is she ?

She is doing ok thanks . She is 28 weeks and it hasnā€™t been an easy time . She says herself she is not very good at being pregant . However only another 12 weeks ( or less ) so itā€™s not too bad .
I am going over to help with the nursery mid term break . Only take hand luggage on the plane so only allowed 6kg . Hence the reason for small lightweight presents !!

Theyā€™ll be pleased to see you

Good evening everybody. Abbey your daughter will be looking forward to seeing you next week. It was a really cold wind here today and I was glad to get home for a heat.
