Good Morning All,a bit dull and grey here today so just staying put…Didn’t find anything I fancied in the shops Jessie, not unusual for me, so used a gift voucher in Boots on lotions and potions/lipsticks etc’…I never use foundation but lots of moisturisers,so I expect to be looking 10 yrs younger in the very near future…:-p…Have a good one Folks,x
Good afternoon
Just home from a funeral of a lady from dancing … so sad we went into the chapel to the song “Do you wanna dance” by Del Shannon and left to “Dancing Queen” by Abba … very appropriate
May … if your lotions and potions result in you looking 10 years younger will you let me have the name of them please
Good evening everybody. May I don’t blame you for not buying anything there is nothing in the shops. Myrtle nice choice for a dancer at her funeral. I.ve tried the lotions and potions but it doesn’t seemtohave worked.

Hi May. Thanks for the welcome.
Similar weather here. I thought we were promised a decent Sunday? What happened to that? Oh well, I am about to venture into it for a shortish walk. Just for some air and a good old soaking.
Good morning from sunny Macclesfield
Morning folks, we just got Grey May, no rain over the border, but i shant be venturing out today.
Rabbie. Burns.
I never hear the loud, solitary whistle of the curlew in a summer noon, or the wild mixing cadence of a troop of gray plovers in an autumnal morning, without feeling an elevation of soul like the enthusiasm of devotion or poetry.
Roll on Spring.
Good morning everybody. Hi Ossian and welcome to our wee forum. Out early yesterday to meet a friend for lunch and a few drinks. Weather not to bad here today so hope to get out for a walk later.
Thank you, Valentino.
I am not sure what can be posted in this thread, but here goes.
I have just had the misfortune of finding myself driving through the centre of Glasgow. It was quite unintentional but as the M8 was blocked and congested, I left it to drive through Glasgow and head home.
It has been many years since I have driven in Glasgow and this may be my last. The traffic flow is shocking and the restrictions make it so confusing… and dangerous. I am nervously waiting to see if I have incurred a penalty as I think I may have driven through a Bus Gate or down some restricted streets. However, the signage is simply awful and once you are commited to a particular route, it is dangerous to simply stop in the middle of a street and take avoidance action.
It really is a mess. Made more challenging by the fact that the main route through the centre is being dug up and work crews are all over the place.
Perhaps if they banned so many buses, congestion would not be such and issue.
Sorry if this is not really apprapriate for this thread. Let me know if that is the case.
Hello ossian
although I’m not from Scotland I know the “true Scots” on here won’t mind me saying that your post is just perfect for this thread
Evening All,…Nom You are the SFs own Geordie Burns…lovely words indeed.
I know what You mean Ossian, nightmare stuff driving in the City…I go in by bus and just getting from Glasgow cross to Buchanan St station takes forever,
Just back from a run to the carvery in Strathclyde Park, same thing there,so many roadworks I didn’t recognise the place and I just live a couple of miles away,
As Myrtle says…anything goes on this Forum so go for it,I certainly enjoy the banter…more please
Hello everybody. Ossian I know there is a lot of road works just now on the motorway. I gave up driving when I retired and don’t miss it at all. Hi Myrtle are you foo dancing again tomorrow. May the last carvery I went to was at Braehead.
