Myrtle glad all went well yesterday. Abbey its a new one by Boss nice and fresh smelling. Off to get my nails done this morning and a bit of shopping.

I’m pretty sure that May has run off with the Milkman !

M.

Good morning

Dancing this afternoon

 May and the milkman … she’ll wear him out

Enjoy your day everyone

Brrr , been a cold day here today . Sun was shining but wind very cold .
Went my favourite Ardwell pond walk today , the dogs were cold and keen to get round quickly .

One of my cousins sent me a few old photos today . They were of my Mum when she was about 30 . I have never seen them before .
My Mum died 27 years ago and I’ve felt really upset all day seeing these photos .

Really cold here today with showers and some hailstones. Got my nails done and then did some shopping. Abbey I think its always upsetting looking at photo’s of family who have passed away.

Abbey although it is distressing looking at the photographs of your mum when she was young they are a lovely thing to have and treasure … I don’t have any photographs of my mum when she was young

Bet your nails look lovely Jess … you’re a glamour girl

I didn’t have any of my Mum either Myrtle so I decided to ask around the cousins .
It was mainly because I have a grandaughter in NZ and didn’t want her to grow up with no old family photos from our side of the family .
The cousins on one side of my family were helpful and enthusiastic while on the other side of the family they were not .
I know for a fact they have photos in fact they even told me they did but wouldn’t help .
I think that says more about them than it does about me .

Well you know the saying ā€œyou can choose your friend but not your familyā€ !!! Sad but very true :frowning:

Nowt so queer as folk :frowning:

I’m sure your grandadaughter will love the photographs … will you scan them and make copies for her ?

Yes I have scanned a few so far and I will do these ones as well . I am also writing on the back approx when the pics were taken who is in them and anything I know about them .

That’s lovely Abbey … I know my granddaughter would love anything like that too

I had a friendship request on FB from one of my cousins daughter. Her dad quite young and she was asking me if I had any photo’s of her dad when he was young. I do have one taken at her aunts wedding so I’ll get a copy made and send her one.

Jess I’m sure she’ll be thrilled

That’s lovely and she will appreciate it so much

Good morning everybody heavy showers here today. Off to visit my friend and then some food shopping.

Good morning

Dull and dismal here … just pottering about today then picking my granddaughter up from school and dancing tonight.

Enjoy your day everyone

Good Morning to All You lovely People…aye it’s a wet cold miserable one here too,so not going out…All the lamps are lit as it’s so dark, but have had a nice stew simmering away all night in the slow cooker so will have that for lunch later,

No,I haven’t run away with the Milkman Mike, heh heh,Haven’t seen Him or His Horse in many a long Year since He galloped off into the sunset :-p

See Ya All later Folks if I survive a climb up to the loft where I haven’t ventured for quite a few years, decided to deck the Halls this Year for a change, have bought some new dec’s,but I know there’s lots up there somewhere…I shall return…hopefully, …Hope All are well and the coughs and sneezes have all gone,xx

Great to see you May

Pity about the milkman though :frowning:

Afternoon Each, well it was a waste of time getting the ladder out to go up to the loft as I’d forgotten I’d ditched most of the dec’s when I moved into this smaller bung’ and the ones I kept are in a box in the Summerhouse…all that’s up there is a couple of large suitcases and a few table lamps I’d forgotten about,so brought them down and have lamps everywhere now…let there be light

Och Myrtle, some day My Knight in rusty armour may come riding into My Life…but I aint holding My breath

@May … you better stock up with WD40 just in case

A miserable and cold day here . Was out for lunch at the local garden centre then took an elderly friend for her food shopping .
Snuggled up by the woodburner now with 4 comatose dogs .

Pity about the milkman May but at least you can still dream !
