Good Morning Each,a frosty cold one here too,just back from Tesco where I got the makings for Ham/lentil/vegā/potato soup,also some crusty bread for dookinā,and an apple tart to have with custard for aftersā¦Why is good warming comfort food so fattening? :shock: :-p
Back from Tesco and got what I needed plus a few other things. Had some left over stew with bread and butter yummy.

Wet and gusty here.
Got all the water containers filled in case of power loss.
We have the wood-stove on, so we stay nice and warm.
The creek near us has overflowed and the road here is closed.
So Grantās gonna have to come home the long roundabout way - thank goodness he has that option.
Weāve currently got a lake happening out front, but we have good drainage, so it shouldnāt be a problem.
It would be good though if that sky juice gave us a break!!

Afternoon Folks,and what a bleak grey one itās been,no snow so far just in the Highlandsā¦Spent most of the day cleaning kitchen cupboards and defrosting the fridge/freezer,watching day-time TV & reading,blinds drawn now as itās pitch black outsideā¦gonna be a long night Methinks.
First snow of the season here within the last hour. Not sticking - yet !!! Just returned home after walkies with the mutt hound. Definitely ācool & refreshingā out there !

Visited my friend today then into town to the chiropodist. No snow here either but heavy rain so it was a taxi home for me tonight.
Good evening everyone . Had to go up to Edinburgh today ( 300 mile round trip ) Sleet just starting as we were coming home luckily we got home before it got too bad . Fed and logburner on now . Happy to be home !

Woke up to an even layer of the white stuff. Only about an inch, but itās still snowing. Here we go. Batten down the hatches. The leaden sky doesnāt really lift the spirits.
