Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Morning, Not doing a lot by the look of things, Snow, Snow and more bloody Snow. Himself was against me going into town for my swim as the snows deep and still coming down fast and thick. We are also suppose to be having Thunder Storms today as well…Oh Joy.
Looks like I’ll be cooking for the freezer instead, got mince defrosting at the moment to make Spag Bol and a load of Tatties and Onions to peel for a big pot of Stovies. Will Dageus get a walk? Not at the moment, can’t see the through the snow to the bottom of the garden. :disappointed_relieved: :disappointed_relieved: :disappointed_relieved:

Good morning. Been snowing here but not lying and it feels warmer. If I’m going to lunch later I’ll probably get a taxi down.

Heavy snow here too. Not as bad as it sounds where you are Rox!
My Daughter phoned told me not to go up to look after the children after school. They will manage. So was going to the bakers for rolls but snow too heavy at the mo. Will wait til it goes off.
Hope you get to the pictures May. Want to see that film too.
Jess imagine MichaeKeaton at La Lanterna! We used to go there a lot but it has been ages since we were there

Me too Jean, there was a bit of a blizzard earlier so phoned My Friend to suggest We cancel, but He just laughed and said a wee bit o’ snow won’t stop Us,and anyway,He’s already bought the mars bars!…It’s now calm and sunny so will see how it goes in late Afternoon.

Bonnie it is a long time since we’ve been there a few years or more. May enjoy the movie today and the mars bars, hoping to get to see it as well. Sun is shining now so I’ll phone a taxi to get to Wetherspoons.

No snow here this time. Nice sunny day but cold wind.

Most snow we have had this year. Managed to walk down to the bakers between showers. Sun shining now so think it will all melt.

Scott lucky you having no snow. Bonnie we didn’t have as much as that, I think the rain has washed most of it away. I just hope we don’t have any more I want to get to the hairdressers tomorrow.

Good morning everybody. Snow has gone thank goodness. Hairdressers then a bit of food shopping then the bus home.

Good morning Jessie and all,a brighter sunny one here with no snow,
I enjoyed the Film yesterday and it was good to escape for
a couple of hours from the talk of war which is scaring Me more than a little I must admit!

More escapism after dinner watching ‘Married at first sight Australia’ on TV,…I find it fascinating to see how complete strangers ‘marry’ each other and hope to live happily ever after,a weird but interesting experiment which I’ve found to be quite addictive, :eyes:

Morning all. Sunny here but snow still lying on the grass. Up to Chatelherault to watch the children today and then supermarket for weekly shop.
Glad you enjoyed your film May. I would like to see it. Belfast is on my sky box but it is £15 odds to watch it. Will wait til the price drops and then see it too.
I am very concerned too with all this warmongering! I think most of the Russian people don’t want it either, it is very brave of them to protest in Moscow. The poor Ukrainians must wonder what horrors are to come. Putin is deranged and would start a nuclear war without a thought. He threatened as much in his speech. Thought all this was behind us.

Morning, Suns out but still lots of snow lying around and the roads were really icy first thing. Home for the rest of the day now so just a catch up around here this afternoon.
Was flicking through the News and came across this. As much as I feel for these poor people where the hell are we suppose to put them. We have no room for those hounds sneaking across the channel in their dingies, let alone adding another country we are suppose to accept.

Ukraine invasion: Charities urge UK to welcome thousands of refugees - BBC News

Good afternoon everybody. May glad you enjoyed the film yesterday. May I’m watching that programme as well, a lot better than the soaps which I’ve gave up on. Bonnie dont blame for not paying £15 to watch a film, it would be cheaper in the cinema. Rox a member of the Scottish parlament mentioned yesterday about taking them into the country. Feel sorry for them and I dont think I’ll be going abroad anytime soon.

Good morning Each,a dull grey one here, but not cold,
Catching up with housework but no cooking today
as We’re getting a Chinese takeaway this evening,
and watching a couple of DVD’s,

As for Putin…all it needs is a good marksman with a rifle
to put a bullet between His eyes…If this had happened to
Hitler,there wouldn’t have been a 2nd World war!!

Have a good weekend Folks and try not to watch the
news which gets more scary every day,xx

Good morning everybody. May enjoy your takeaway and watching the DVD’s. A bit windy here at the moment, after breakfast I’m doing something haven’t done for a while. Going into town on a Saturday morning, a wee look round the shops then the train home again.

Morning, Had a lovely walk through the woods with The Hairy One and having a Latte and toast the now. The sun is out and the winds dropped, there’s even a wee drop of heat in the sun…Wonderful. Spring is almost here.

Good afternoon, sun is out but still a cold wind out there. Rox most of my spring bulbs are coming through at the moment. Been sorting out stuff for the charity shop tomorrow, off out to lunch later with the social group.

Good afternoon. That’s a really good group, Jess. Seem to have loads of activities.
Lovely sunny day here. Have been laid low with severe nose bleeds. 2 on Friday and 1 yesterday. Feel a bit light headed but fine apart from that. Was going down to see my friend this afternoon but she phoned to say she has COVID. Met up on Tuesday so have tested but ok so far. Hope she only has a mild dose.
Roll on 9th March when my blood tests should be definitive.
Lovely photos Rox!

Good morning everybody, showers here this morning. Bonnie sorry to hear you’ve had nosebleeds, hope its cleared up by now. We went to the Brisbane Hotel for lunch, some of us had roast beef which was tough. Others had the lamb which they said was fine. Housework and a visit to the charity shop today for me.

Morning all. Sorry to hear your roast beef was tough, Jess. I like it when it melts in the mouth.
Not a nice day here. Going for rolls and a prescription now. My Grandson James is coming for his dinner and will get his bath here then get picked up about 7.30.
No more nose bleeds so far. My friend Margaret sounds quite bad with COVID. It has gone into her chest. She is 78 well nearly 79 so hope things improve quickly for her.
Better get moving the wee bakers sometimes sells out of rolls quite quickly.
