Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Morning all. You have put me in the notion to knit, Jess. Glad you seem to be enjoying your new group.
I am going out for a meal with my neighbours across the road. We are going local and mid afternoon so we will get back before the storm starts hopefully.
To be hail here tomorrow then heavy snow on Friday. Everyone take care. Roll on the summer.

Bonnie enjoy your meal this afternoon with your neighbours. Hope theyā€™re wrong about the snow on Friday, Iā€™ll have to cancel my hair appointment.

Morning, No swim for me today have been too busy. Just in for a coffee, been helping Himself to batten down a few hatches and get the sheep inside. Beginning to hate the high winds, todayā€™s storm is not the last either as thereā€™s another one due to hit at the Weekend
We are not supposed to be getting it as bad as you ones in the central belt but itā€™s wild here the now, and heā€™s not for leaving things to chance.

Just back from Greenock and got a taxi at the Station home. He was saying that the storm timing has been to 2pm. Iā€™m home for the day and putting my feet up.

Best place to be Jess. We are only going local for lunch about 5 mins from our house.
Kirsty and my grandchildren are at the Science Centre but hoping to be home by 3pm.
Friday Storm Eunice looks bad too. Batten down the hatches again !

Just had hailstones, thunder and lightning all at once. Glad Iā€™m home indoorsā€¦Hope you and the neighbours get home safe and Kirsty and the children.

Good Morning Each, well itā€™s been a wild wet n windy couple of days, but not to bad here atm,

Iā€™m off out later to visit Carfin Grotto with a Friend then for a Birthday lunchā€¦Iā€™ll light a candle for You Lassies
Family coming after work so Iā€™ll end the day stuffing My gob with chocolates no doubt,
Have a good one Folks and take care,xx

Morning, Wind has died down for a while and the sun is out and has a wee bit of heat in itā€¦Bliss. If it stays like this then Iā€™ll head outside this afternoon and have a tidy up in the garden.
We have a strange sight on the beach the now, I heard about it at the pool and went for a wee look on the way home.
These huge blocks have appeared, seems they had been buried deep in the sand but the recent massive upheaval of the ocean has uncovered them. :open_mouth:
Was told that witches were tied to them at low tide and then left to either drown (and that meant they werenā€™t actually witches and were not guilty) or if they survived the tide coming in it proved they were witches and then they would be put to death. :disappointed_relieved:

Afternoon all. Weather here a bit better still looking bad for tomorrow. Enjoy your day May. Many happy returns. 21 again!
Just going to watch the gKids after school .

Good afternoon, sunny with a cold wind here today. May its been a long time since I went to Carfin, I used to go with friends. Rox wow they are huge rocks, it must have been some tidal surge for them to emerge from the bottom of the sea. Going out again for dinner tonight to Tony Macs, looking forward to it.

Well donā€™t know if the predicted snow will come but I am absolutely freezing tonight.
Enjoy your meal at Tony Macs, Jess, I really enjoyed my meal with the neighbours last night. They wouldnā€™t let us pay as they said it was a thank you for helping them when they had COVID. Upside is I have asked them to go to Coast on us. So thatā€™s another wee meal to look forward too.

Good morning Each,a very cold frosty one here, but no sign
of any storm thank goodness,ā€¦Not going out anywhere or doing any housework or cooking, will defrost soup & bolognese, then itā€™s feet up for the rest of the day,
Have a good weekend All and keep warm,xx

Good morning everybody. Snowing here but that heavy at the moment. May Iā€™m not going anywhere either, even cancelled my hair appointment for today. Really enjoyed my my meal last night, fillet steak with peppercorn sauce and veg. Jean Iā€™m sure your neighbours will enjoy going to Coast as its a lovely restaurant and great menu.

Morning, Snow here as well, Not been out with The Hairy One yet, hoping it will go off for a bit then we can take a stroll around the farm. Not heading off in the car anywhere.
Itā€™s an afternoon for either catching up on telly I recorded or on the computer with an audio book and a jigsaw.

Morning all. Doing a bit of housework. Have been incredibly lazy since doing a big clean for Christmas. Itā€™s been 2 skites wi the workin bunnet all the time. Anyway house will be here when I am gone.
Going to watch the g/kids after school. Getting a lift up so thatā€™s all good. Will go for weekly shop this evening if weather ok. My Son says he will take me.
Getting up early tomorrow to cheer on our curlers. Seem a really nice bunch of lads. The girls are in the semi final today around noon. So good luck to all of them.

Rox just finished a jigsaw on FB. Bonnie Iā€™ve not done much this week in the house, maybe late if I feel like it. Going to get dressed and bring the garden waste bin in. Then maybe go out later and get some milk and maybe cold meat for sandwiches.

Morning All, Well the suns out and what a difference that makes. Still breezy but nothing to complain about. The Hairy One had to made do with the garden yesterday as I refused to go out in that awful weather, but had a longish hoof to the village as well as a stroll through the woods and up the hill early on. Just housework this afternoon and cooking dinner, hoping to get to the pool tomorrow as I missed yesterday and I donā€™t go on a Saturday.

Sun is out and it feels a lot warmer out there. Did a bit of housework and going to the butchers to get some and put it in the freezer.

Morning all. Same here weather wise ,Jess. Beautiful photos Rox. Think I am going to have a lazy day. Went for rolls and paper but no plans for later. Just doing my crossword with a roll on black pudding and a mug of tea. Bliss!

Sunny day up here as well. We had 4" of snow yesterday and we had to go to the funeral of one of our neighbours. Many didnā€™t make it because of the snow. We had been neighbours for 52 years.
