Good afternoon All,it’s a sunny breezy one here so have the bedding blowing merrily out on the line,
it will be all change come the weekend as Strathclyde weather forecast says some frost & snow,
Keep warm and safe Folks, and remember to take Your vitamin D tabs every day
Evening all. Got really sunny here today but still very cold, the gritters are out in force here tonight. Got sprayed when er were coming home. Son took me for me Christmas Tree. Hopefully be delivered in a few days.
Keep safe everyone. Watch your feet if it’s slippy. I put spring things on my shoes when it is bad but my pal just puts a big pair of old socks on top of her boots.
I have ice grips that I bung on my boots, they are like the bottoms of football boots and grip really well. Have been using them for years, wouldn’t be without them.
Good evening everybody. May hope there is no snow here at the weekend. Roxy I still have plenty in the freezer but will have to do a shop next week. Bonnie I bought a pair of springer things but never wore them. My friend Jean always wear an old pair of socks when its icy. Lots of trees up round here but I like to wait till the week before.
My mother always put the tree and decorations up on the 23rd and down on the 6th, we all did the same when we grew up and got our own homes. Can’t be doing with a Christmas that goes on n on.
I may just put My tree up earlier this Year as I just love
switching on the lights on a cold dreich Scottish December morn…
It lifts My spirit and brings a little joy of Christmas past,
I shall think on it over the next few days,
PS,…Sorry to hear of Your wee Aunties fall Jean…Always
a worry to those of Us who live alone xx
Put your tree up May it does cheer you up. Rox my Mum did exactly the same 23rd Dec to 6th Jan.but when my children were wee they were desperate to get the tree up so usually about the 15th Dec.
People put them up in Nov now but some take them down before New Year. Mine isn’t here yet but will put it up when it comes. Anything to beat this gloom about you know what!
Really cold here but sunny. Watch your feet everybody and enjoy your day.
I’ve got all the decorations out of the wardrobe upstairs. I usually put it up about the 15th and take it down in January. Going to the co op later to get some crusty rolls if there is any left.
Good afternoon good People,a grey cauld yin here so took My tea back to bed this morning until the house warmed up,then fell asleep for 2 hours!
Virgin Media TV is down and so is Their webpage but Broadband not affected,…yet!..,PITA. .I see it’s the same all over the Country…Glad I have freeview on Bedroom TV.
May cold and sunny here at the moment. I have BT box and seldom have any problems with it so far. Just been to the Hospice charity shop and bought some cards and calenders.
Hi girls my tree arrived so stuck in a bucket of water. Watching the children after school today, tomorrow and Sunday so needs to be Sat for putting it up.
Bitter cold here too. Wrapping up warm as it is quite cold in the train station and some of the carriage windows are open for ventilation which is a good thing.
See you laters
Afternoon Ladies, Very dark here I slept in and didn’t get to the pool, dog only got a ball chase in the garden. I’m stuck here waiting for the guy to come back and move the alarms in the kitchen, they are far too close to the cooker and are driving me nuts. Just wish he would get himself here, getting fed up waiting.
Good afternoon all. More snow up here. We only have a small artificial tree. Our grandchildren are in their teens and oldest one is 28. I fitted our smoke/heat alarm well back from the cooker Rox. I think it is still within the regulation distance. I hope your Auntie is recovering well from her ordeal Bonnie. It will take her a while.
Bonnie try Central station in the winter its baltic. Rox not sure but I think next year, we’re going to have new smoke alarms fitted. Scot I have an artificial tree, its about 18 years old. Bought 12 second class stamps 7 99. they’ll have to do for a few years.
Good morning All,another cold one here but no rain or snow,so will take a walk out later as I’ve been sitting on My bum too much over the past couple of days,
It’s yonks since I’ve been in a train station,or even a bus station as I’m mainly staying and shopping locally,
The TV outage must have been fixed during the night so all is back to normal again…I wonder what I’ll get to whinge about next
See Ye a’ later,xx
Good morning, grey skies here at the moment. Hairdressers then a look round the shops at Braehead. May glad that you have your tv back. I’ll have to move to catch the local bus, then the bus to Braehead.
Morning all. Drench day here too but at least it’s dry.
Scot we have only had a light shower of snow last week. Glad your telly is sorted May. Hope you get your alarms sorted Rox. Enjoy the shops Jess. I am getting the grandchildren from school but my Son is off today so he is going to run me up there. Saves a long walk and then the train. Can leave an hour and a half later than normal.
So enjoy your day all.
Morning All, Cold and icy here first thing, slithered my way to the car, then had to defrost it It was not supposed to freeze last night.
Stable Duties for me this afternoon so I’ll be kept busy, and warm as I’ll light a fire to burn the used straw.
No I didn’t get my alarms fixed AND I stayed in all day, plus, Dageus had to sacrifice his walk.
They didn’t turn up, I’ve tried to phone them several times this morning but nobody’s answering,
Goodness knows what’s going on, but I’m not a happy bunny.
WOOHOO, The men arrived to move my alarms a wee while ago. They are now over the other side of the kitchen, ALSO, it turns out one of them was faulty and it was causing all the trouble. Sheeeze. Hopefully there won’t be another sound from the blasted things.
I didn’t say anything about yesterday, I was just so glad they finally arrived.
Good evening everybody. Jean you’ll be glad your son had the off, to take you to get the grandchildren. Rox no more alarms going of when you least expect it, they are a nusience when they start chirping. I usually set mine off in the kitchen and then flap a dishtowel under it to stop. Just bought a few things in M&S today, didn’t really need much.
