I hope you have everything battened down for the gales which are due to arrive tomorrow Rox. I have no problems logging in here.
Morning Lads n Lassies. Itās a wee bit blowy here this morning. Around 50mph winds at the moment but to increase to around 70mph, and the waves were really getting big from what I saw on my way to and from the pool. Iām heading over to the Front and the beach after lunch once itās high tide, love to see those massive waves crash lol.
Apart from walking the dog and having my swim Iāve just got jobs around the house done.
Have a nice day. I put a few new photos in the Scottish Album Thread.
Morning all. Rox I think Jess never logs out but her niece was using her device and she logged out. So she will sort it next time sheās down. I hope she gets back on soon.
Watching the kids after school then going to Sainsburys. Everyone says itās much more expensive but I like it best. Plus I do the points thing during the year so at the moment have around Ā£90 to spend at
Christmas. Hope I get to the Ā£100!
Have a good one everyone!
Btw Scot do you remember meeting us in Aberdeen? When we were all in Saggy zone. You were with Dorothy and Myra and then we all came off the Glasgow bus.
Strong winds here as well Rox and heavy snow. The ground is white. I went to the shop before it gets worse.
Hi Bonnie. I think I just missed you. I met Dorothy and Myra but had to rush off before your bus arrived. on a family emergency. I think I know the gentleman you met, he was a friend of Dorothyās I forget his name.
Good morning all. The wind has abated here now but it was bad last night. A tree behind our house came down. We were lucky it did not hit our conservatory. I hope you donāt have too much damage up there Rox.
Morning, Blimey what a night, fences/gates down all over the place and some of the barns roof off. Couldnāt go to the beach with the dog earlier as I went around the corner and found a tree right across the road in n out of the village. Had to turn back and head into Thurso Park instead, windās died down a lot but itās still blowing and itās icy, frozen puddles around so had to mind my feet. I forgot my gloves and my fingers were blue by the time I got back to the car, held them over the heater till they thawed out enough for me to drive. Sheeezzzee. Hoping I donāt have to go outside again today but I think Himself will want help with the fencesā¦Bloody weather. ggggrrrrr
Morning, OMG itās cccold, My teeth havenāt stopped rattling since I got up. Just back from the dogs walk, he loved the snow. I HATED IT.
Bunged a roast in the oven, going to do the full Sunday Lunch with all the bits n bobs that go with it, just to cheer me up. After a tidy up itās the fire and a book for yours truly.
Good Afternoon Each, snowed during the night and I kept the heating on all night for the first time, milder today,
I have a chicken roasting in the oven too,and after I sweep up more snow wet leaves piled against the front door,I wonāt be doing/going anywhereā¦bins out for tomorrows collection, then feet upā¦Have a good one Folks,xx
Just pulled this off the front page of one of todays papers. Not something one sees very often.
Afternoon all. Snow here this morning just a light dusting but freezing!
Decided to clean blinds today. They were thick with stour and the sunshine was making them look worse. Knackered now but got clean blinds and Windaes! Got chicken breast for dinner but fancy phoning for a wee cheeky takeaway. Think I deserve it.
Hope the weather is kinder to you guys up north next week.
Good Morning Folks,itās a grey dreich one here, and thatās exactly how I feel after hearing Nicola reā new covid variant,
it looks like We are back to square one after yesterday when I was planning Christmas dinner with the Family,We were saying no matter what happens, come hail or high water,Weād all be have dinner here on the 25thā¦Iām sick to death of it all as the light at the end of the tunnel seems further away than ever.
Morning May and everyone else. Itās still cold here but dry and the frostās melting. Still not going far as I hate the cold days. Iāve not listened to Nicolaās speech yet Iāll catch it on the lunchtime News. I was out working at getting the rest of the leaves up before anymore wind starts blowing.
We didnāt have plans for Christmas as itās always weather dependent for traveling that A9, so weāll take it as it comes. Like you Iām sick of it all, we were just starting to think we may finally be getting on top of things, was enjoying meeting up for lunch with the girls every month and having dinner out with Dunc before heading to the village local to spend a couple of hours with friends. Now itās backā¦AGAIN.
Hello Iām back
Hi Jess nice to see you back on. I thought I posted this morning but donāt know where it went to. My leak in water pipe got fixed today. So glad the wet patch was getting worse each day. The guys said it was a tiny leak but had obviously been going for sometime. All fixed now so pleased about that.
All this talk about new variant is getting me down too May. Hope it is not going to be as disruptive as it sounds.
Keep safe everyone. Good night all.
Good morning everybody, grey and wet here at the moment. Yes Bonnie, my niece Libby came to the rescue yesterday as usual. I think weāre all a bit scared at the moment with this new one rearing its head. Hairdressers then home to do some housework, Iāve been really lazy the last week since I came home.
Horrible wet day here.
My poor wee Auntie fell in her kitchen last week it took her an hour to crawl on her back to the phone. Her daughter got there and phoned 999. She was told not to move her and it was 5 and a half hours to get my aunt to hospital. She had a broken hip but couldnāt get her operation for 2 days because she takes a blood thinner. Makes you realise how lucky you are.
So making a pot of soup and getting on with some work. Hopefully will get to see her soon she is 87 so it will be a hard road for her.
Have a good day all remember your pluses and things arenāt so bad.
.
Morning All, Not so cold today but wet and a bit windy. Been for my swim and called in at Tesco on the way home. Had a beach walk with the Hairy One and now enjoying a Latte.
The last of my tubs are needing to be emptied so Iāll get that done after lunch then a quick check on those nasty weeds that love to pop up overnight.
Going to stink out the house with onions as we fancy a plate of Stovies for dinner tonightā¦
Bonnie sorry to hear about your wee auntie having a fall in the kitchen. That was a long time to wait for an ambulance. I made a pot of soup and put in the freezer. Rox I donāt think Iāve ever had stovies. Done a May this morning and went in the co op for crispy rolls, having one just now with bacon.
Good morning everybody, grey skies here at the moment. Some housework and then into town, I want some new jammies and a dressing gown.
Afternoon Folks, Weāve got Stormy weather again, the windās about 40mph the nowā¦and rising.
Having a day of cooking for the freezer as itās lousy outside, had my swim and walked the dog, now home for the day.
