Scots couple who’d been married for 50 years died of Covid within 12 hours of each other.
May Cropley, 71, refused further treatment after she watched husband John, 73, lose his battle against the virus.
The couple, from Auchtermuchty, Fife, ran a business together and were committed Christians who served in ministry together.
Tragically they caught Covid together, and suffered together in a shared a hospital room at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
When John died in front of May she made the heartbreaking decision to refuse her own treatment.
Singing Amazing Grace, 12 hours after her husband passed away, May also died.
Last week they were laid to rest together.
oh my ,that’s so sad, I’ve got tears in my eyes reading it …all the politicians in the world can say right we’re easing restrictions as of today, but they’ve not got rid of the virus, even folk who have been vaccinated have still caught it ,

I really don’t think it was the right thing to do, removing all those restrictions. Did you see on the News all the young ones dancing at the Nightclubs, all packed in like sardines. Some of the regulars at the pool this morning were saying the FM felt she had no choice but to do it, they also think we will be dropping like flies by Winter. They could be right too.
Well I don’t intend making any changes until the winter is over and hopefully I’ll still be here…I’ve survived so far,not gonna screw it up now.

Morning, As it’s nice I too will be outside, so much to catch up on in the garden. Just back from the pool and didn’t have to share my jacuzzi with that guy today, didn’t even see him.
I am not getting to grips with this new forum and I can’t get a lot of it to work, I always used the “back to the top” on the other forum but it won’t work for me on this one…No matter how much I click on it, I have to bloody well scroll back up. 
I simply don’t have the time to sit here and experiment. We have started to harvest so I have extra jobs to do while Himself is up to his neck in extra work. Have a nice day Girls.

Yes thanks, May, all is well with me. No doubt we’ll all get used to the new OFC site. Somehow I reckon with the existing members it will eventually be the same as it used to be, no way can quite a number of people be expected to be ‘good’ all the time. There will be spats no doubt but that’s human nature after all. The way we are as individuals probably will remain, and it’s no use you using the Angelic smiley, we are all aware you ‘ain’t no angel’ as you readily admit!

I’ve just had a look on the old OFF and there’s nobody there which seems so strange as there’s over 7 years of My Life on that Forum, and I expected to be there until I was ready to pop My clogs…or get booted off 
I’ve just read on another thread that some Members found Their e mail from Azz in Their
spam folder…I wonder if that’s what’s happened to Jess & Bonnie…there’s no way I can get in touch with Them as I changed My e mail ad’ years ago,and lost Theirs when saga zone shut down.
Maybe other members on here have their e-mail addresses and on seeing your post will contact them.
Hope so Baz or Our wee Scottish club will just fade away

There’s lots of people who come into the thread to read what we’re saying but don’t add to it. Wonder if they think we’re talking about them. 
Surely they realise we would use private email if we were going to do that. 
I’ve no idea of how many Scottish members there are,
hopefully enough to keep the Scottish Club going. 
I never use smileys on my mobile, the screen is so small that I avoid using anything like that. Even sending texts is quicker if I do an e-mail on my laptop, save it as a Draft then open it on the mobile, highlight it and copy and paste into the text window. It’s making errors and trying to correct them in the text message that is so slow. I am a qualified keyboard operator and touch-type (60-70wpm) so the small screens drive me nuts as I don’t know where the keys are!
