) … went to town to draw out some cash for my weekend coach trip tomorrow to Windermere and on impulse bought a new phone … I’ve been fiddling with that instead of getting my packing done !!!

Well your Pine martins are already slipping over the border apparently into Kielder and i for one ill welcome them with open arms.
Re seduction, these days id settle for a nice nightcap and a good nights sleep.

We have had heavy showers here today and unfortunately got caught in one of them . Have had the woodburner on most of the afternoon which has been nice as we have largely been in the house today .

Well my Scottish evening for my Polish visitors went well, they had a taste for whisky and haggis.
The little ones have seen the bagpipes and are fascinated, the 3 year old thinks it is very funny, Daddies in skirts:-p.
