Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Who is in 2nd place May, Labour or the Tories?

Raining here, and cold. Had mince & pasta for dinner as its comfort food for us when its dreich like this. Can’t believe it was lovely and sunny yesterday, hrmph. Been amused by all the drinkers huddled up under umbrellas, desperate to feel normal again with lunchtime drinks outside in the beer gardens.

Not normal for us BUT, we’ve been talking with our mates about starting our Saturday Evenings again. Meeting up for dinner at the Ferry Inn then a drink down the village pub. Need decent weather though, but it would be a start on the return to normal for us.

Don’t know that yet Roxy…been a few surprises though,

Oh how lovely it will be when We’ll all be able to go out for
lunch/dinner/drinks without any worry…can’t be too far away
hopefully…in the meantime I’ll settle for some warm sunny weather

How I’d love some warm n sunny weather May, those few days last month were wonderful and made a big difference to me. If we get a good W/E weather wise soon then I’ll have them all over for Sunday lunch outside. I often do this in the summer, cook the chicken in the oven in the kitchen and make big bowls of salad and cold pasta to go with it along with either coleslaw or potatoes in mayo. I’ve usually managed at least one Sunday by now… Blooming Weather. :mad2:

Sounds good to Me…it’ll come back again never fear

Good evening ladies. I think we’re all missing the sunny weather. Really cold here today had to wear my and gloves. Enjoyed my massage today feel really relaxed and better for it.

Good evening all. You were wise to put on your gloves Jess glad you enjoyed your massage.
Mince and pasta sounds just the ticket ion a night like this, Pixie. I am having a mushroom omelette but a wee Pinot Grigio and some fruits and cheese after.
We could all do with the sunshine and more socialising Roxy. May is right it will come back.
Enjoy your evening everybody.

This is the seats won in the Election as far as I can gather,

SNP…64
CON’…31
LAB’…
LD…
GREENS…9

Salmond & georgy porgy…a big fat 0

edit…don’t think lab/ld is correct,

She’s one short of a majority as far as I can make out. Bet she’s cursing, I know I would be if I were in her place.

Morning, Up bright n early for my drive back to Perth today. Got a big birthday tomorrow my granddaughter turns 21 and we have a get together planned with closest family and her best friend. Hope the weather stays nice for us. Only be away a few days, see n behave now.

Good Morning People,a milder one here so far some sunny showers

No cooking for Me today as I’m going to Daughters for dinner later,

Enjoy Your G/daughters party Roxy…Have a good Sunday Folks,x

Good morning ladies. Roxy enjoy your granddaughters birthday party tomorrow. May enjoy your dinner at your daughters. I’m having a small steak pie from the butchers at Wemyss Bay with new potatoes. Some housework then a walk to the shops for a Sunday paper.

Good afternoon all. Just back from my walk. Avoided the rain but really puffed out today.
Enjoy your granddaughter’s 21 st Roxy and your family lunch May.
Jess you enjoy your steak pie we are having chicken today.
Got my paper when I was out so crossword now.

Bonnie its age since I had chicken for dinner. Enjoyed my steak pie that’s the last one for a while. Really cold wind here today but no rain. I took a chance and hung towels out for a wee while.

Jess it has been wet and windy this afternoon. Just recently sun has come out but still quite windy. I haven’t had steak pie for ages you have put me in the notion! My son loves a roast chicken dinner better than anything. Timer going for my roast tattles. Better rescue them!

Evening ladies, busy day out and about today, and chicken, tatties & peas for dinner. (not home grown I hasten to add…my stuff is struggling in this harsh weather. Dying for a homemade potato!)

Good morning ladies. Grey skies here today, I’m off to meet friends in town, that I haven’t seen since lockdown last year. One of them I worked with about 40 years ago and the other one I stayed beside until she moved.

Afternoon everyone! Teeming down with rain, Diva Dog is not a happy pup at all. Pottering around the house at the moment, thinking about having lunch. Jess, hope you enjoy meeting up with your friends again!

Oh Dear Lord I’m in Dundee City Centre with my grandaughter shopping.I gave her Ā£100 for her birthday as it’s a special one and she’s dragged me off shopping. I’m beginning to understand how husbands feel when they get hauled round the shops. I’m shattered and desperate to jump into a tea shop for a coffee n cake, but herself is busy trying on yet more stuff…Sheeezze?
