Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Evenin’ all,and what a dark dreary day it’s been here, had the lamps on since 2pm!

Cross fingers it isn’t arthritis in the hip Roxie…Mine started in one knee after an accident, then in the other 10 yrs later, now in shoulder & neck,…but like You say You don’t feel any pain when in deep water…but I hate swimming pools  so I have to manage with stretching, low impact exercises, and ex’ bike.

Morning Ladies, :039: What a morning, kept losing the dog in the thick sea fog, went inland to the park hoping it would be a bit thinner, it was but not much. Sticking close to home for the rest of the day, making a pot of soup this afternoon and a pot of stovies too…

Morning ladies. Roxy I don’t think the fog has been bad like that here. Hope your back is ok this morning. Got some ironing to do nut that can wait for another day. Going to wrap up and get out for a walk later.

Fogs lifted now Jess the suns burned it’s way through…What a difference. Backs not as bad as it was thanks Jess, still painful but eased a bit after the swimming yesterday. Next session is on Monday Morning. Came across this on my FB page earlier, made me giggle.

Unfortunately no Nessie after a whole day of searching.
Now taking a rest on the shore of the Loch.

yes she pops up out of nowhere oor Nessie
it’s been a brilliant day here, blue sky , lovely sunset, and the full moon is enormous…but bitterly cold

Isn’t it nearly pantomime season – “he’s behind you”!

She Baz, Oor Nessie’s a lady.

My apologies for the unintended gender gender realignment, I had no idea.
So as to put that error to rights:

Isn’t it nearly pantomime season – “she’s behind you”!

I never thought of the name being short for Vanessa, it’s always just been Nessie after Loch Ness,
this being where the searches for the Loch Ness Monster take place.

Can’t win them all I guess, good 'ere innit, I never stop learning, more derivatives below:

Good afternoon ladies and Baz. Roxy glad to hear your back is easing off, long may it continue. Paula really cold here yesterday. My nieces came down today for a visit, they phoned and asked if I needed anything. Went out and bought a few things and it felt quite damp out there.

Afternoon, Freezing here all day and our boiler decided to play up AGAIN. It’s always losing pressure but this time it was dead. Had to wait in for the engineer and oh brother I’m not a happy bunny. Turns out there’s nothing wrong with the actual boiler, but there is a pressure fault in the system. He refilled it and it’s OK again, but they’re coming tomorrow to add some sort of liquid to the system that usually seals leaks. Guy checked all the radiators and pipes he could get to, all fine, he thinks it’s under the floorboards somewhere. If this liquid doesn’t sort things then my house is going to be torn apart to get to it. Just what I needed to hear…Not. :103: :100: :022:

Oh Roxy, that’s all you need at this time of year…

Happy St. Andews Day Scotties.

Good morning ladies. Roxy hope they can find the fault and fix it without ripping everything apart. Thanks Sue. Some housework and write out some cards and get them away.

Good morning Each and a happy St Andrews Day to all…thanks Sue x

I’m spending the morning in bed as I’m not feeling too good,so a lazy one for Me,

Andrew was first hailed as Scotland’s patron saint in 832, after Oengus II led an army of Picts and Scots to victory in a battle against Aethelstan’s Angles at East Lothian. Oengus was badly outnumbered and feared defeat until he saw an X-shaped cloud in the sky and interpreted the phenomenon as divine intervention, praying to Andrew and promising to name a day in his honour if his army won the ensuing scrap. They did.

Oengus’s ancient pledge was finally made official in 1320 when Scotland announced its independence from England with the Declaration of Arbroath.

Superstition surrounding Andrew persists to this day and the Saltire is said to prevent witches flying down chimneys when marked next to a fireplace.

Stay safe Everyone,xx

Afternoon All :039: AND, Happy St Andrews day to you all, Hi there Sweetsue, nice to meet you.
Still waiting for a phone call about the engineer to come and add this liquid to the heating system…sigh. I gave them my mobile number so I can still do whatever, just back from the pool, only did 26 lengths but a good bit quicker than the last couple of times. Himself chewed me out about overdoing things, and yes he’s right…more sighs. So I’ll not do too many, May sorry to here your under the weather, hope you bounce back soon. Well off to sort lunch…

That’s the engineer been and put the stuff into the heating system, says he is coming back next Monday to check things out. If the pressure drops before then I’ve to phone the office, so keep your fingers crossed for me.

Good morning ladies. May hope your feeling better today. Roxy glad to hear that the engineer finally arrived, lets hope that’s the problem fixed. I have a combi boiler. Hairdressers today and then get a few special cards for friends.

Afternoon Ladies :039: Dull and dreary here today and I slept till after 11am  guess all the nights of pain and pacing are catching up. Not getting dressed today, spending it on the sofa with my eyes shut and listening to an audio book. No walk for Dageus just sat on the garden seat and threw the ball for him, it exhausted me.
May glad your feeling better, this is getting to us all I think.
