Good morning ladies. May we had some rain yesterday morning, then it turned warm in the afternoon. Look a lot cooler out there today. Some housework and then a trip to the shops.
Good morning Folks,a chllly sunny one here and I’d love to jump on a bus/train for a gallivant into the City, but I see there over 2,000 covid 19
cases here in Lanarkshire alone,so I aint going nowhere for a helluva long time to come
Morning, Really cold here again this morning. I’d like to get back down to Perth to my own house for a while, but daren’t make the drive, there’s a good chance I won’t get hauled over by the A9 Police but I’m not going to take the chance, as soon as we have the driving distance lifted though I’ll be away. Not up to much today, walked the dog and tidied up now I’m bored…
Good morning ladies. A bit of a wind blowing here but its dry. I think we’re all champing at the bit to go somewhere but know that we cant. A few of the shops here have opened up again. Aulds the bakers and the India restaurant for take away. Might phone for one later, as I’m fed up with what I’ve been eating.
Good morning ladies. May enjoy your coffee with your daughter and s i l. Yes I got a take away last and really enjoyed it. We have one fish and chip shop open here to the public. The other one you can phone and order and pick it up. My favourite one is doing online orders, just wish they would open up again soon. My niece is coming down later so I better move and dow something.
Afternoon, Still cold, dark and drizzle, not like June at all. Just faffing about round the house, bit of this and a bit of that. Can’t get into gear at all for some reason. Will be glad when Himself comes back in and I’ll have somebody to talk to. Sheeeze, roll on freedom…
Good morning May, just chanced upon your post again. Hope you are enjoying the better weather there in your part of the world? From others I know there it can be so much worse than ‘down south’. Enjoy your day and everyone else too of course!
Good morning young Man…I have the heating on to warm the house up atm so it’ll be a day indoors today.:-(…c’est la vie…Hope You have a good one whatever Your weather is like down there
Good morning ladies. I looked in to this forum, which I haven’t visited for a long time, and saw your posts. Weather here was warm & sunny yesterday so I enjoyed a BBQ with my daughter & family. I’m about 20 miles from you May. Good for you for keeping this going & I will definitely pop in each day. Enjoy your day.
Good Morning to You Beki, lovely to see You posting on here and We def’ need new Posters to stop the Scottish Club thread from dying …look forward to chatting with You,
The sun has come out so out with My solution of salt.n vinegar to try and kill those pesky weeds from popping up between the paving on the path & driveway…see Ye A’ later.
Good morning ladies and Baz. Hi Beki and welcome to our wee chat room. May lets hope there are no more deaths recorded. Roxy hope your feeling better. Yesterday it was to hot hot to sit outside for any length of time. My neighbour gave us all a home made mask yesterday for shopping. A bit of housework and then sit outside with my book.
Thank you May & Jess. I didn’t know that salt & vinegar would kill weeds. I will give it a go as I have spent the best part of lockdown trying to get the garden into some level of decency again. If I close my eyes it will just smell like the Chip shop. Maybe that’s not a good idea as I might be tempted to go out and look for one!
Morning, Bright n Sunny so far so I’ve got the bedding in the washing machine. Have to stop in as the guy is coming to service the gas boilers ect. Hope he comes this morning so I can get over to Wick this afternoon.
I use a bottle of white vinegar, a good bit of table salt and a squirt of washing up liquid so it sticks to the weeds. I mix it all together in a plastic water bottle and punched a hole in the lid, been using that mix for several years now. I have to get the vinegar online in gallon bottles and strong. The stuff in the shops is not enough in the wee bottles they sell.
Good morning ladies. I didn’t know about salt and vinegar either to kill weeds. I use a long handled wire brush to clear the weeds away. Beki I’d love some fish and chips, we have one thats opened but I’m not really fond of them. Roxy I got a letter saying they will be here to service my boiler at the end of the month. A bit misty here at the moment and hoping it will burn off.
Good morning May and all in your part of the country on this thread. ‘Young Man’ would be good but it’s not a fact, nice of you to say so though! Have a good day, keep warm and safe everyone in these strange times and strange weather too!
Good afternoon all. I’m afraid I’ve been ‘slaving’ over a hot laptop this morning. My excuse for being lazy! Thanks for the tips on weeding. Will try to find a big enough quantity of vinegar. Even talking about it makes me want fish & chips. It also puts several pounds on my hips I’m sure. Some clouds around but it is warm & I will venture into the garden in a wee while.
