Hi spending some time with son and family in the beach side resort of Broome WA [no not Washington!] daughter went to a wedding today which was held in the open at 35C - talk about mad dogs and englishmen.
we are all waiting for the cooler days when it can drop to 25C but that won’t happen for a while. We only have two seasons out here -“the wet and the dry” and I still get confused. hats, sunnies and cream blockers are the order of the day.
I remember vividly my days in UK, all the weather patterns you are describing and have written a limerick about it somewhere - will search for it - it involved an argos cooker. windy wet days with a good fire and book sound great.
Good Afternoon Each,a bright windy one here so managed to get bed stripped and washing out on the line…not easy balancing on one leg :-p
Decided to get a taxi to Tesco Tomorrow to do a big shop and taxi back,it’s such a kerfuffle to do it on-line and I do need to get out…time enough to go into hibernation mode when winter comes…see Ya all later,x
Sorry to hear that the leg/knee is playing up May. Sounds painful. Can you weight-bear on it at all ? A right bummer as you say. It’s been a bright but breezy (very) day here. I was going to head to the Forest of Ae (not a typo folks) to do a recce for a hut that there’s a meeting at at the end of the month. The trip never happened as I got side-tracked into doing some garden tidying. Maybe another attempt during this week. The forecast sounds good for later in the week. I love the whole “feel” to Dumfries & Galloway. A stunningly beautiful neck of the woods.
Good evening everybody. May hope the knee isn’t to bad. Mike enjoy your trek to look for a hut. Had a lovely time in Arran with my niece, I treated myself to a few things at the Spa. Wind is picking up here at the moment so I hope it blows out for the morning.
Evenin’ All…glad You Lassies had a good weekend, fab’…You know that garden needs tended Mike so good for You…I decided to do an on-line shop after all, as I can walk for a bit then find Myself yelping with pain,so not taking any chances ,ordered enough food to last a Month and it’s just £5 delivery charge…will just have to be patient til I heal :-p
Hiya Ginger, have a quick-step for Me.:-p…I used to love swirling around the dance-floor,but My late Partner had 2 left feet,so I haven’t danced for yonks,it’s a fun way to keep fit…I miss it,x
Evening all. Strong winds dying down a little now here. Still grey skies and drizzle though. Not to worry. I managed to mow the trackside grass before the wet stuff arrived, so not a totally wasted day. Let’s hope tomorrow will be better.
Good evening everybody. Hairdressers for me then into town to meet friends for coffee. Quite muggy here today and a few showers, found a purse on the train and handed into the Station.
Good Morning Folks. I hope the supermarket delivery went ok May and they didn’t substitute too much stuff, also that the knee is improving. Low cloud base here with drizzle. I hope it clears soon as I have the farm’s quad bike to repair ! Not a breath of wind so I fear the midges will be lurking in the wings.
Good morning everybody.May hope the shopping has arrived. Myrtle hope its not to hot for you today. Mike hope there aren’t to many midgies lurking. Wet here this morning and its some housework for me and then some food shopping.
Hi again Folks…feeling ok but will rest up for a wee while longer though I hate being confined…no patience,
Delivery arrived just after 8 thanks…and no substitutes.
We could be doing with a wee heat-wave here too Myrtle then I’d be able to lounge in the garden instead of indoors…We don’t get many midges in this neck o’ the woods Mike…wee blighters
PS…I must be really bored as I’m watching Jeremy Kyle on TV……Thank gawd I’m single
Oh no - not the Jeremy Kyle Show !!! Surely things aren’t THAT bad are they ? Give me the midges any day
Apologies to anyone out there who likes the show. A good job we are all different eh? Apols also to gumbud in oz, who probably doesn’t know what we are on about. Maybe it’s screened down under ? I’m not a daytime tv fan, but have seen odd bits of the show when channel hopping. (Shudder!)
What the heck happened to the sun They forecast for this afternoon?..it’s still grey and drizzly here, just suits My mood.
.Talking about moods and daytime Tele’…jeeze…Battling Neighbours killing one another,Wives murdering cheating Husbands & vice versa…it’s enough to make You want to commit hari kari…This wonky knee better improve fast for the sake of My sanity. :-p
