Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Afternoon Folks, had a gallivant into the City for odds & ends as it’s a fine dry bright day…everyone seemed to be upbeat and chatty in the shops, bus queue, bus, now time to put My feet up with a nice cuppa…xx

Afternoon, I’m heading back to bed for a couple of hours, having trouble keeping my eyes open. It’s just one of THOSE days…

Afternoon, well that’s the suite and the carpet chosen, carpet gets laid Tuesday 7th Jan, suite arrived yesterday and old one went up on FB as a freebee to be collected. Went within a half hour. Not a bad day, cold but dry so had a decent hoof with the dog. Away to put the feet up now…

Afternoon all,it’s a dreich grey one here and just been busy changing/washing bedding…been up the ladder in the bathroom trying to remove the bulb which just conked out…jeeze…wharra palaver…it’s a flush ceiling light which takes a 4 pin led bulb…I finally had to go on u tube for instructions on removing/replacing it.so it’s off to Wilcos Tomorrow for a couple of spares…but I’ll just have to pee in the dark until then  :-p

Ha haha, leave your hall light on May.

Good evening everybody. Got home last night from holiday. We had one day of rain and the rest was sunny. May I have to get someone to change lightbulbs for me. Roxy feeling a bit tired myself at the moment.

I’m not surprised Jess, you never seem to stop in one place long enough to catch a breath… Hope you had a good time, and it’s good to have you back…

SW England report Wet wet never mind it’s not cold, time to take the Ferret for a walk.

Good morning everybody. Thanks for the welcome back Roxy. Basser its dry up here this morning thank goodness. Going into town later for some last minute shopping, then still have to put up some more decorations.

Good Morning Each,it’s a fine bright dry sunny one here, and it’s also bright in My loo since I replaced the bulb without falling off the ladder …Town was busy as expected but I don’t need to go out for any more shopping for quite a while,so a quick run around with the Dyson and furniture polish, then feet up for the rest of the day…Good to see You again Jessie though I expect You’ll be gallivanting off again soon

Morning, Dull n Dark here this morning with drizzle, but at least it’s shortest day and the healing starts again tomorrow, working back to light evenings.
Just pluttering about the house today, walked dog earlier and after lunch may have a snooze…

Good morning everybody. Dry here at the moment. Went into town yesterday for a few things, and it wasn’t to bad. Still have to put the cards up and a few more decorations. Thanks May for the welcome back, don’t think I’ll be going anywhere soon.

Morning, Very foggy here today I had to put the flashing light collar on the dog or I’d have lost him. Not sign of it lifting either so I guess we’ve got it for the day. House clean for me this afternoon as I’ve been lazing too much last week.
Have a nice day everyone…

SW England, weather started off raining but now it’s turned into a glorious day.

Good morning Each, not a bad one here in between showers!

That’s a devil of a Santa Roxy :-p

Here’s Our wee annual Christmas poem,

A Scottish Fairy

I am a wee little fairy
On tap o’ the Christmas tree
It’s no’ a job I fancy
Well how would you like tae be me

A’ tarted up wi’ tinsel
It’s enough to mak ye boak
An a couple of jaggy branches
Rammed up the back o’ your frock.

An these wee lights a’ roon me
I canna get my sleep
An’ there’s the yearly visit
Fae Santa – big fat creep.

On Christmas Day I’m stuck up here
While you’re a’ wiring in
An’ naebody says, Hey you up there
Could you go a slug o’gin?

The Christmas Tree’s a bonny sight
As the firelight softly flickers
But think o’ me – I’m stuck up here
Wi’ needles in my knickers.

Good evening everybody. Was out early today taking presents to my friends. Got a few more presents whe I was out and I’m finished. May love your wee poem about the fairy. My poor fairy only has one wing but I’ve had her to long to throw her out.

A great poem, May!

Thanks Mags, but I can’t take the credit for it and I don’t know who the Author is,but They have a fab’ sense of humour whoever They are/were.

My curiosity prompted me to check this out, as usual. The link below may throw some light on who the author is, seems it’s been posted a lot in various places on the internet:
