Over 50's Club Scotland (Part 1)

Evenin’ all,…went out to the shed to get the snow shovel and brush, but the lock is frozen solid so the paths will have to wait…It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen so many icicles…very pretty they are too…it’s below freezing here but no worries…well stocked up on food…stay warm Folks wherever You are

Good evening everybody.Nom I strangle a cat I love them. Had a lovely time with the family and last night we went to the Panto. Got home this afternoon and enjoying doing nothing.

Good morning everybody. Roxy hope your mother is continuing to make progress. A bit frosty here at the moment and sunny. Staying home and taking it easy and maybe a walk along the prom later.

Good Morning Folks, another bitterly cold one here but sun has melted the ice on pavements on My side of the ave’ so managed to get up the hill to shops for fresh milk/veg/lemons…Yellow weather warning for Tomorrow though for more snow/ice…feel sorry for some in the Midlands who are without electricity…stay warm & safe all.xx

Mornin’ everybody…snow snow snow…making a pot of lentil/ham soup and would like some crusty bread to go with it…but think I’ll stay put as there’s ice under that snow,so will do with crackers instead…the zip on My trusty old Derry Boots has stuck and can’t gerrit up or down,so a trip into Town Tomorrow to buy new ones…might go out to the garden in My wellies to build a snowman later :-p

Good evening. Usual day for me hairdressers then into town. Got a taxi to the station as we had snow here this morning, didn’t want to take chances. Raining here tonight at least the snow is getting washed away.

Good morning everybody. Roxy hope that everything is ok. May good luck with the boots. Snow has all gone from here so after a quick tidy up I’m going into town.

Afternoon Each, its much milder here Today and snow & ice almost gone…Just back from Morrisons which was mobbed…crazy…is Everyone having 3 day parties to bring in the New Year I wonder

Just off to mine so i hope its not too bad, weathers. similar to down my way.

Bigger time Hogmanay than down here as ar as i remember when working in Glasgow, nowt like a good knees up and a couple of falliing down waters.

Afternoon All :039: A bit milder here too, the snow’s melting and it’s raining too. Just back from the hospital from seeing my mum, that was a waste, it lasted a full 15 minutes before she told me to go. Can’t do anything with her, she just grumps the whole time. The staff have moved her out of the ward and into a side room as she was upsetting the other patients with all her carry on. Sheeze, she’s such a drama queen.

Its amazing the way some people buy food as if there is going to be a shortage. I went to Port Glasgow instead of Glasgow, went to M&S and it wasn’t to bad in there.

People have become unhinged im naming little old ladies with shopping trollys, Weapons of Mass destruction.

Did manage to get my mitts on a bottle of Scotland’s finest product to see out the year. :):)

Evenin’ All,well I’ve been to Daughters for an early Hogmanay dinner, steak pie, stew, peas etc, as They’re all going to a party Tomorrow night and I don’t want Them driving here on Ne’erday half cut  :-p

Hope You enjoy Your wee tipple Tomorrow night Nom,and A’ the best for 2018

Good morning Folks on this last day of 2017…it’s blowing a gale outside so I won’t be out scrubbing My back & front steps as We once did long ago on Hogmanay night when the whole house had to be cleaned from top to bottom to welcome in the New Year

A guid new year to ane an’ a’
An’ mony may ye see,
An’ during a’ the years to come,
O happy may ye be.
An’ may ye ne’er hae cause to mourn,
To sigh or shed a tear;
To ane an’a baith great an’ sma’
A hearty guid New year.

Chorus
A guid New Year to ane an’ a’
An’ mony may ye see,
An’ during a’ the years to come,
O happy may ye be.

O time flies past, he winna wait,
My friend for you or me,
He works his wonders day by day,
And onward still doth flee.
O wha can tell when ilka ane,
I see sae happy here,
Will meet again and merry be
Anither guid New year.

Chorus

We twa ha’e baith been happy lang.
We ran about the braes.
In yon wee cot beneath the tree,
We spent our early days.
We ran about the burnie’s side,
The spot will aye be dear,
An’those that used to meet us there,
We’ll think on mony a year.

Chorus

Noo let us hope our years may be
As guid as they ha’e been,
And trust we ne’er again may see,
The sorrows we ha’e seen.
And let us wish that ane an’a’
Our friends baith far an’ near,
May aye enjoy in times to come -
A hearty guid New year!
