Today we had Lambs Liver.

Tomorrow we are having Fresh Cod.

Sounds offal.

I’m not super hungry today. I had 2 scrambled eggs and cottage cheese for lunch.

My dinner was lovely today, really nice.

Mine was good, but didn’t eat it all. Like I said, didn’t have much of an appetite yesterday. Made a cashew chicken salad wrap and some vegetables on the side. Today for lunch I’m having Thai chili tilapia and mixed veg.

It was pretty decent. The fish was good. Really simple, just a tilapia filet in a sweet Thai chili sauce. Not spicy at all.

Today we are having: Homemade Shepherd’s Pie with Swede, Carrots and Peas.

I’m just eating a frozen meal for lunch. I buy Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice meals (I don’t know why they call them ‘healthy’, it’s frozen, processed food, lol) to keep around for when I haven’t fixed myself anything to take to work. Which I usually do. But today’s one of those days I don’t have anything ready and if I take one of those meals with me, it keeps me from being tempted to stop at Taco Bell <---- major weakness of mine.

Over the holidays, like many people, I ate too much and I got all out of sync and since before Christmas when the treats from family members and co-workers, etc, started rolling in, I’ve eaten carelessly. Because of that, I put back on 4 pounds. They say, on average, the typical person will gain about 5 pounds over the holidays. So yep, I came pretty darn close and now I’m trying to get it back off. Which is hard as hell because trying to lose weight these days is like rollerskating uphill.

Hi everyone–saw my doctor for results yesterday-I have polymyalgia, and have been prescribed steroids–still feeling rough–but not as bad as I was so hopefully, I will be back soon.

Tonight for supper I’m having a turkey bacon club wrap, adding roasted red peppers, and 3 pierogies.

My Husband decided on Wednesday evening that he should eat more sensible as he has a tummy the size of a 7 months pregnant woman, so as from yesterday we have been eating really good, and this morning my sugar levels were only 6.8 I was really pleased its normally about 9.5 first thing in the morning.

Glad to hear your sugar levels are looking good. And yeah, that tummy
 he needs to get rid of that. That’s actually considered to be very dangerous for aging men. Here’s something your hubby might want to read. May encourage him to keep at it.

Doctor said i have to be careful as steroids could lead to diabetes–how do you chek your sugar levels


Well, I’m not diabetic. But since diabetes runs in my family (my mother died from complications of it) I do check my sugar once in a while, just to keep an eye on it. I’ve been hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) most of my life, but I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. So I already know my sugar levels can get wonky. I just use an in-home monitor.

Mariana do you have a blood sugar monitor, if not you will have to buy one, being that I am a Type 1 Diabetic for nearly 30 years, I have to test my blood six times a day. Have a look on the Diabetic website they do have a shop on there.
