Our Official Slimming Club Thread - open to everyone

What’s going on with that? Has your doctor said?

I’m still posting Linda.

Today we had:-

Fresh Cod with Vegetable Stir-Fry.

That sounds good

I had fish today too. Salmon salad in a whole grain pita, 10 boiled shrimp and a cup of creamed corn.

Today its homemade curry and rice.

I’m going to be all over the place today, running errands for work, so I’m not sure what I’m having. I’m craving taco salad, though. Might pick one up for lunch.

Hope Mariana is ok.

Me too. She doesn’t sound like she’s doing well these days.

Hi everyone–I was at the doctors on Wednesday. She thinks i have Fibromyalgia which is like an inflammation of my muscles. But before she can give me any medication, I need to have some xrays and blood tests—so hope the weather improves soon—then I will be put on steroids and that should help me with all the pain etc. Hopefully I will soon be back to my normal self, not eating much right now–plus sleeping a lot during the day as I am so exhausted all the time. Hope you are all doing well. xxx

Hi Mariana, lets hope the Doctor can help you very soon.

Today we are having:

Baked Fish, Boiled Potatoes, Carrots and Dark Greens.

I was put on steroids (prednisone) for my eczema, had a bad outbreak. And those things are definitely a very powerful anti-inflammatory because although my doctor won’t let me STAY on steroids (I’m to use them only for occasional eczema outbreaks because the prednisone calms the itch and allows my skin to heal rather than me digging it back open over and over again) during the time I’m on them, I have no pain anywhere. And I’m always in pain. My hips, especially. Many days I don’t walk, I hobble. But when I’m on the prednisone, all that is taken away.

I was so wiped out yesterday that I went to bed without dinner. Got up this morning, jumped in the shower and I feel much better. Guess I needed that sleep. Today it’s cold and icy and dreary outside, so it’s a good day to stay in. I’ve been in the kitchen most of the morning, which is my favorite place to be. Working on Sunday dinner prep, made some German style pickled eggs and now I’m taking a break and having a wonderful salad for lunch.

Chopped lettuce, ham strips, turkey strips, shrimp, avocado, sweet red bell pepper, sweet onions and sliced honey-roasted almonds. Didn’t think I’d eat it all because it turned out to be a pretty big salad, but it’s so good I can’t stop eating it and I’m about ready to polish off the last couple of bites

I had Beef Casserole today, took 3hrs on very low, but it was lovely.

Me being the wrap queen that I am, I’ve been eating a lot of BLT with avocado wraps.

sorry i have still not been around–still not feeling good—but doc has my blood test results-once she has my xray results I shall see her again and take it from there.

im having chicken casserole and rice tonight—need something hot !!

Glad to see you, Mariana. Let us know what the doc says.

Chicken Casserole sounds good Mariana, that will do you good.

Today we are having a Roast Dinner with Gammon.

Yep, gotta love that comfort food. I think I’ll make my baked spaghetti this Sunday.

Today for lunch I’m eating tinned food… Spaghetti O’s and Meatballs, LOL

I was watching Hairy Dieters tonight and a young Lady who played football was making an Omelette but instead of putting the other ingredients all over the omelette she put Mushrooms, Onions, Cheese down the centre then folded both sides of the omelette over like a wrap. So that’s what we are going to have tomorrow for dinner with homemade oven chips.

Oh wow, funny you mention this because I found a recipe not long ago (I’ll post the link below) that intrigued me and I’ve been wanting to try it, since I’m such a wrap fanatic. And these would be a great, low carb way to enjoy one.

In fact I may make myself one to take for lunch tomorrow. It should heat up well in the microwave, as long as I don’t leave it in there too long. Don’t want the eggs to become rubbery.

Weight

1st January 2017 … 113kg

20th January 2017 … 104kg

No exercise, no programs, no diets - as such.

Just common sense. No booze, no fatty stuff, no sweet stuff.
Heaps of fruit and vegetables and lean/trimmed beef/chicken/pork/fish.

9 kgs (about 20 lbs) in 20 days. Easy peasy.

I’ll relax a bit when I’ve lost 20kg (about 44lb).
