Our Official Slimming Club Thread - open to everyone

I was about to say the same -0-a kilo is over 2 pounds—I would be ecstatic to lose 2 pounds a week.

I made mysef a quiche tonight–wih peppers and onions–but did not use pastry–i am undecided as to whether i like it or not.

Hi Tina—I had not realised that insulin caused so many problems. i also go to Slimmingworld–just a week and a half, although I had been cutting down before that. But had a very stressful 2 weeks, although I have not been eating more—but its hard to keep motivated alone. But i am sure they will have come across this before ? the insulin problem, I mean .
Did you manage to find a voucher in Woman " magazine–£10.00 off your first week—I know it was in last weeks edition.

Helo Susie–hope that is enough to keep you going—still a lack of protein–are you a vegetarian ??

Hi Mariana, sorry didn’t explain properly.

It was Chicken Thai Red Curry.
Jacket potato with coulslaw.

No i’m not vegetarian.

Ok Susie thanks for explaining—I like chicken curry too-but a very mild Korma, never had thai red curry. !

Hi All,not sure how much weight I’ve lost, but the needle on the scales is pointing nearer 11st than 12st,just can’t see how many Lbs it’s showing so will just use My jeans to tell in future

I find the only way to lose weight (for Me) is to cut right down on carb’s like bread/potatoes/pasta and have more protein… fish/chicken/lean meat…vegs/fruit/brown rice.

Breakfast…bacon omelette.
Lunch…tuna ,large salad…pro bi’ yogurt & kiwi fruit.
Dinner…Home made chicken curry, brown rice.

Are you trying to say you haven’t had a lovely hot Vindaloo Curry then Mariana?
You don’t know what your missing.
Except perhaps a few visits to the loo!

Hi May-yes its difficult with those kind of scales–I always use digital scales now. Much easier to see–and hopefully more accurate !!

I know when I started cutting down, the scales were hardly moving–but everything was gettng looser, and back into smaller sizes–that was reelly encouraging.

crispbread, cottage cheese pinapple
wrap, houmouss
salmon salad
sugar free jelly-yoghurt.

Just a typical day for me !!

No way Kenny—But when I see you, you can treat me to one–lol

I love hot curries, when I make a curry at home, I only put one whole chillie in because my Husband can’t take it hot, but on a separate plate I will cut up another chilli and fresh raw garlic for myself.

Hi Susie I am 5ft three and I made a mistake in my last post I am 12st not 13 like I put. how silly to make a mistake like that. I look like a barrel perched on two matchsticks lol.

Yip,the hotter the curry the better for Me…it gets everything moving in the right direction

I read once that Our waist measurements should be less than half of Our height…I’m 5ft 6ins…so Mine should be under 33ins’…erm!!..so a wee bit more practice with the exercise hula hoop Methinks…doesn’t seem that long ago since it was a nice 24ins’…:!:

Hi May-Im also 5ft 6 " ihad not heard that before about waist measurement—so lets just say–I’m getting there. Actually its good to have a target like that.

But no–I still do not like hot curry–or anything spicey–last time we had chilli con carne at church–I just had the con carne–very nice too !!

:lol:you got my measurements . I look like im about to give birth cause all my weight is in front of me … Its a good job we can laugh at ourselves…

your not kidding Eliza.

The thing is your weight doesn’t look bad when you are fairy tall like yourselves, but when you are 5’2" you just look like a frumpy old lady.

Today is going to be:-

Breakfast: Bran Flakes, Soya milk.
Lunch: Homemade Shepherd’s Pie, Brocolli & Carrots.
Supper: Soup and 1 slice of bread. Apple.

Good Mornin weight-watchers,another day of fighting the flab :-D…did My stretching exercises to get Me straightened up and moving…had porridge for b/fast,now a couple of hours work in the garden…good to be alive on Morn’s like this isn’t it,x

Good morning . I have been really stressed the last couple of weeks–especially last weekend–but managing to forgive and forget !!

Just concentrating on me now—

Just had my usual breakfast–no idea what Im having later.

Just keep going girls—is is surprising what a difference even half a stone makes–and on that tv programme it says that losing just 10% of your bodyweight can have a massive difference in so many ways—so that is my first main target.

Hi

Well my waist is shrinking, needed one less notch on the belt this morning.

Still a long way to go though.

I have a favourite pair of jeans which I could get into 2 years ago before being laid up on steroids, but cannot even get close to getting into them at the moment.

I will though.
