thank Susie–I have never worn jeans–and rarely wear trousers–only in very very cold weather-i just do not feel comfirtable in them.
Thanks, Susie
Mariana, I used to live in jeans, but I was much younger and, like you, I don’t feel comfortable in them anymore.
Today its homemade Shepherd’s Pie and Vegs.
I don’t know what I’m having today. Not much, I know that. I ate too much yesterday and the day before my calorie allowance got all screwed up as well because my boss decided to order veggie pizza for lunch. And I’m sorry, but when someone orders my favorite pizza from one of my favorite pizza joints and the pizza not only looks beautiful, but smells wonderful, I’m not going to be able to resist it. Although I did stick to only 2 pieces. And these were small pieces because this place cuts its pizza into squares, not triangles.
So it could have been much worse. But they were still unexpected, unplanned calories.
Edit: typos.
Crazy day today–its just gone 1 o clock, just got up, as i did not sleep a wink last night—so so hot—so about to have breakfast–not sure what will happen for the vrest of the day.,…
Just got up!
We had Salmon Salad today.
Salmon on my menu for tonight !
It’s been hot here too. Horrible humidity. It’s thicker than my boss’s head, LOL. Thank goodness for air conditioning or I wouldn’t survive this. I don’t tolerate the heat very well.
Tonight is pizza night, so I’m going easy on the lunchtime calories. Having a fried egg (fried in non-stick cooking spray, not butter or oil) with two thin slices of lean ham on a sandwich thin. 208 calories. And that’s going to be it until pizza later. Even though I always get thin crust veggie pizzas with light cheese, it’s still a lot of calories.
its pretty humid here too-we are just not used to this–plus just rely on fans to keep cool. !!
Oh dear, I feel for you. Especially when you’re not used to the humidity. That’s a normal thing in these parts. The temps go into the 90’s and with the humidity and heat index, they say we’ve reached over 100 several times this summer. It’s been a nasty summer. Unfortunately, they’re also saying we’ll have a mild winter, which stinks! I love winter. I love the cold and I love the snow.
I’d also like to say that I NEED the cold right now. Dealing with these hot flushes and stinging-hot needle pricks that suddenly break out, sometimes all over my body, are driving me crazy in this heat. When the prickly, needle-like stings hit me, it feels like my skin is on fire.
Stupid menopause.
I hate the heat too—not foir your reason–just do not like being hot—i have to go out today tro see me ex BF , but taking my own lunch–salmon and lettuce sandwich on brown, with cherry tomatos and a yoghurt. !!
I don’t like being hot either. But going through menopause in the middle of a heat wave just makes things worse. You’re like double-slammed, haha.
I didn’t eat much yesterday. I ate good things, like an egg and some peanuts and also smoked oysters, but my calories still only added up to 421. For the entire day. I was totally planning to eat something last night before bed, but I was more tired than hungry, so I said to heck with it and went to bed without any supper.
Hope you did not wake up in the middle of the night for a midnight feast lol lol
Haha, no, I never do that. I can’t eat in the middle of the night.
I ate a little lunch today and we’re getting pizza tonight, so I’ll get my thin crust veggie. We were going to get pizza last night, but the boys (my son and his dad) went off to a friend’s house last night. Plus they ate a pretty sizeable lunch and said they weren’t hungry for pizza, so that’s another reason I didn’t eat last night. But that’s okay, I was tired yesterday anyway and just wanted to go to bed.
yeah–Im off for an early night–I crashed out at my friends house this afternoon–the weather got to me… just had a light meal when i got home-cottage cheese and fresh fruit–could not face anything else…
Well its not so hot today, still quite humid, but not as bad as yesterday.
Today we are having:
Chicken breast marinated in Indian spices with Salad.
I cook my own Chicken (just one) then slice it up when its cooled down and have it between us.
That sounds nice Susie—I guess you could use any combination of spices–chinese maybe would be good too…
Yes you can use any spices Mariana, I often do this, I use:
1 teas. curry powder, 1 teas gram masala, salt, garlic & fresh ginger, tiny bit of fresh chilli, just rub it in all over the chicken front and back, put into oven dish, a piece of tin foil on top, and bake on 200 for 25 mins.
thanks—I may try that, sounds good.
Still hot here. I gotta tell ya, I’m so damn sick of this heat. Pardon my language, but it could have been much worse
90’s again today. I don’t know how much longer I can take this. I so miss sweater weather.
I love chicken breasts, but truthfully I’m a dark meat fan. But yesterday for Sunday dinner I did make some really nice boneless/skinless chicken breasts that were so moist and tender. Made a chicken & stuffing casserole, homemade scalloped potatoes (as opposed to making them from a boxed mix) and fried cabbage.
