Our Official Slimming Club Thread - open to everyone

When i have a decent "After " photo, I may share them both !!

Sardines and salad tonight.2 good things about sardines–they are good for you–and dont cost much–only 40p a tin in Sainsburys–downside–I do not like them that much-maybe once a month is enough !!

One thing I cannot stand is Sardines and Pilchards, yuk!

Tomorrow I am making my own Chicken Tikka Kebabs with Peppers and onions on Skewers with a Salad.

It is. I enjoyed it

Tonight is a salad with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, yellow sweet pepper, red onion and imitation crab.

Tomorrow’s lunch is a Lean Cuisine flatbread sandwich, chicken bacon ranch.

Right now I have no appetite, so hopefully I’ll be hungry enough later to eat my salad.

Hope all is well with everyone

We are still hanging on in here–thats the main thing

Reminds me of something an older man I once knew used to say
anytime I’d ask him how he was, he would come back with, “Well, I’m above ground, so that’s the important thing.”

Never heard that before—but he has a point

Haha, very true. Any day above ground is a good day, I suppose.

Well, I’ve just marinated my chicken cubes in Indian Tandoori spices, ready to put on the skewers for my kebabs.

mmm i am sure that will be delicious.

Had an early weigh in today–as church is taken over and our group had to go somewhere else–weigh in only.

I somehow managed to lose 3 1/2 pounds–my best week, since my firat weigh in—so really pleased about that. Need to check in my journal and see what-if anything–I did differently.

my 2nd visit to counsellor today–still a bit nervous even though it went well last week. Firstly my 2nd visit to my new Home Group-looking forward to that.

Well done Mariana.

Thank Susie–not very hungry today-- I had
ryvita crackerbread with cottage cheese and melon
lentils, chopped veg and a little wafer thin ham
scrambled egg with tomatoes and crab sticks–half a slice of toast.

Good job, girlie!

Thanks Linda—I think I am settling into my own routine now–not letting myself be ruled by what my group leader says all the time–she tends to contradict herself, which gets confusing at times.

We are having today:

Chicken Breasts, Boiled Potatoes, Swede and Runner beans.

While it’s great to take ideas and suggestions from other people, it’s always best to follow your own lead and do what you feel your body wants you to do. So you’ve got the right idea.

I had to look up what a swede was and I’m a little confused
it describes them as a rutabaga -or- a turnip. Rutabagas and turnips are two different things, so does that mean the swede is a cross between a turnip and a rutabaga?
