Awww, poopie on the guilt, lol. When ‘dieting’ and trying to eat right and/or lose weight, we’ll always have guilt. But we shouldn’t. We can’t expect to go the rest of our lives without our favorite treats. We just have to learn to see them as just that - treats. Occasional little pleasures that we count as an enjoyed experience and move on. And I also learned I’m not happy choking down foods that I don’t particularly like or that cause me problems just because they’re healthy or because somebody says that’s what I should be eating.
Busy day today so had–
cereal, fruits ,low fat yoghurt.
took lunch to church–pasta, chopped veg, salmon fresh, strawberries
tonight–scambled egg, wafer thin ham, cottage cheese, tomatoes and peppers
muller yoghurt later, maybe.
|Even though I am doing my best to keep to slimming worlld plan, I keep to the foods that I really enjoy, as much as I can–as you say , lifes too short to be eating stuff you do not like-especially if it is a long term thing !
Had a difficult day today-I was really worried about her–the vet says she has an abscess on her bottom–antibiotics and painkillers will soon sort her. !!
but still kept to plan
cereal-melon, pinapple-fromage frais
3 crackerbread, cottage cheese-tomatoes
home made tomato soup–extra pasta, chopped veg–wafer thin ham-toped with fromage frais–delicious !!
By the way–for anyne interested–i am now “regular”—i have a water bottle at my side, to drink from, try and get through at least 1 a day–more if i can.
That’s one thing I don’t have a problem doing, drinking lots of water. I love water and drink it all day long. Bottled water (ice cold, of course) at work and I keep a glass of ice water on the kitchen counter at all times at home.
2 more pounds gone, total of 12 now. Nearly a stone. Not bad, considering it’s taking its sweet time. But that’s okay. Better than gaining 12, I guess.
Oh Linda–that is brilliant—my weight loss is about the same so far–but it seems to be so slow at the moment–but definately better than gaining 12 lol–or not losing any–and I am definately feeling better.
I just installed my new wiiu fit today—and I can notice the difference in myself, from the last time I used the wii fit.
Thanks Linda–Im just off to slimming group in 5 minutes–i have a feeling i have not done well this week, despite keeping to plan–if not, i might try something else for a week, to see if that makes a difference–maybe counting calories–just for a weeks trial. ! We will see after my weigh in–about 30 minutes from now–must go !!
After putting on one and half pounds last week, l was thrilled to hear that l had lost four pounds this week! (Even after drinking the red wine! Linda)
I think the Yoga, exercise classes and gardening have helped too!
Congratulations to all of you who have also lost weight this week too!
Well done—not sure how you dd that-I kept to plan–have been walking more–walking the dogs-drinking more water-plus some gardening–but only lost half a pound–My group leader says I should change things around-more variety–but its easier to make a large batch to last a couple of days–plus its cheaper too.
Funnily enough I was thinking I might count calories for a week just to see what happens–i log everything I eat at the moment, so I can carry on with that, but just check on the calories. Is fitday an app for the phone–I will check it out. Athough i have been really worried this week about my little dog Chloe being ill–any type of stress and everything goes haywire with me.—
thanks Chloe is improving slowly–but her poor little bottom still looks really sore–I sit her in some warm water twice a day to make her more comfortable—she does not struggle, so I know she is Ok with it.
Mornin Lassies and congrat’s to all who have lost weight…I don’t have any app’s except the treadmill and recumbent exercise bike which I’ve been using a lot for the past week or so,it helps de-stress Me as all types of exercise does’
