Yes I agree the tin tomatoes has got a lot of sugar in them, I only use them now and then.

Might just have a buttered tiger roll for supper.

I did not realise that tinned tomatoes contain sugar–not that I ever use them. As everyone says, just chop a few and cook, and before long you have a nice tomato sauce for anything you want…or blend into a tomato soup-thats my favourite. !

I use them sometimes for pots of soups, if the recipe calls for diced tomatoes and I don’t have any fresh. So I keep a few tins of them around just in case. I don’t care about sugar content. When it comes to tinned foods, it’s pretty much default to add a bunch of sugar and/or salt, just to preserve the food and make it taste okay. Pretty much anything from a can is going to be high in sugar and especially sodium.

Afternoon Lassies…as I’ve said before I’m quite happy with My weight/health as it is now,but I’m getting a bit fed up with being ā€˜good’ as I know (being Me) it will all pile on again come the Winter .
So I’m contemplating for next Year when I go into My 74th Year,on getting a Man to do My gardening,a window cleaner, and a Mrs overall to do the cleaning/housework…then I can sit around eating scones/cakes/biscuits with My tea,and watch tele’ all day while munching on boxes of chocolates…whatcha fink?

Sounds good to me!

I agree !!!

I went to my doctors today and asked aboiut vouchers for Slimming world-she had no idea what i was talking about, ansd had never heard of that being done !!!

I started my Slimming World diet on Wednesday and today l weighed myself and l have lost 1.5 lbs.
I have to say on the first day. I almost cried with the frustration of what l could and shouldn’t eat and having to record every morsel that passed my lips, in a diary!

Well done----but it gets easier–once you are accustomed to what you can and cant have—there are such a variety of free foods, it makes it much simoler.

I don’t normally weigh myself until Wednesday, but something compelled me to get on the scale this morning and I’m glad I did. Three more pounds down, for a total of 9 so far. Half stone, 2 pounds.

I still don’t feel any different, though, I still feel fat. But it’s nice to see the scale moving in the right direction.

Today was:

Breakfast: Porridge.
Dinner: Homemade Veg. Curry & some Pasta.
Supper: Probably be Cottage cheese on Crispbread.

I’m having lobster ravioli and peas & mushrooms for lunch. Total calories, 350. I didn’t have any breakfast. I’m keeping my calories low during the day because tonight I’m having pizza.

I didn’t know you could get Lobster Ravioli!! Sounds very nice though.

Got it at the seafood department in the refrigerated section. It wasn’t bad. I’ve had better, but it worked in a pinch and tasted okay for packaged product. It claimed ā€œfresh, never frozenā€ and it wasn’t high in saturated fat, so I said what the heck.

Today:

Breakfast: 2 slices of toast.
Dinner: Egg, 2 Bacon, Toms. Mushrooms and few bake beans.
Supper: Maybe soup.

Lobster ravioli—sounds delicious !!

I had crispbread and cottage cheese and pineapple
crispbreads again with hoummouus at lunch time
pasta with home made tomato sauce.

Not good today–not enough veg.

Not been feeling too good today–bad headache for 2nd day, plus raging toothache–and my friend who takes me is on holiday for a week, plus i am comitted all week —apart from tomorrow–bank holiday !!

Today is:

Breakfast: Porridge.
Dinner: Pork Chop in spices, 2 r. potatoes, swede & greens.
Supper: Sandwich.

I put a few beans in my soup yesterday h–hope that helped.

breakfast–crispbread, cottsage cheese pineapple
lunch—crab sticks
tonight h/m tomato soup, but with more veg and pasta in.

still not feeling good–toothache pretty bad. Although im not eating anything i should not, i do not think im eating enough–but really dont feel like it right now.

I went through that last week, Mariana, just didn’t feel like eating much. Was dealing with nausea.

Its crazy how not eating enough can be worse for you…
