Hi

Chicken breast, glazed with lavender and honey with braised lettuce and cucumber.

Breakfast
porridge
lunch
lentil & carrot soup,
Dinner
lamb chops mixed veg’.

Yes, as long as it is whole meal bread–2 slices a day–but other bread has to be counted in your allowance. Unlimited pasta–do not know about potatoes, i do not eat them.
but I do not normally have pasta and bread on the same day.

I think with the lettuce thing—it does not seem to have much nutrition-I stick to peppers, celery, carrotts, fine green beans, mange tout , white cabbage. --I love peppers–basic range at Sainburys–up to 6 for £1.00–taste the same as those that are 60p each–i love the red peppers best—eat them a lot–great raw or in a stir fry.

I have no idea what I’m eating today. But yesterday for lunch I had butternut squash fritters, cottage cheese and a veggie burger (bunless) with sliced raw onion and tomato.

I had my usual breakfast–and tonight I plan to have a hb egg. tomato sandwich on whole meal bread—not sure about lunch-not really hungry–I love ryvita Crackerbreads so I may have a couple with houmous.
yesterday–my normal breakfast
home made veg quiche at lunch–no pastry
home made tomato soup–mixed with pasta and mixed veg
banana

That sounds good, Mariana. I love homemade soups.

What I want today and what I should have are 2 different things. I want a whole pile of Taco Bell dumped in front of me, haha!

I know what you mean—although I am gradually getting used to eating more healthily.

Oh I completely enjoy eating healthful foods, it’s fun experimenting with new recipes especially. And I still eat my Taco Bell on occasion. I don’t believe in deprivation. I’ve tried that in the past and it didn’t work. It was very depressing going on these ‘diets’ (dieting is probably what made me fat in the first place) knowing certain foods were completely restricted. And by restricting foods I loved - foods that weren’t particularly great for me - I eventually caved and gave up and that was that. If I ate one thing I really wasn’t supposed to, I’d feel I had blown the whole thing, so I’d throw in the towel altogether. That’s why most diets fail. The regimen is so strict that if a dieter goes off track just a little bit, they feel like a failure and they give up. That’s why dieting doesn’t work. It’s not a long term solution and it’s not sustainable for life.

Nope, I still eat my favorite foods, I just eat them in moderation. The thought of going the rest of my life without pizza or fried chicken or my beloved Taco Bell is a pretty dismal outlook

Hi

I am losing the weight but not the inches, I want my 34 inch waist back.

What’s this waist thing you speak of? I’ve never heard of it before.

funnily enough i am the other way round-i am losing the inchs, but not the weight—although this morning, I went down into the next stone–which is the lowest i have been for many many years.

and ps Linda–i agree with every word you say–thats why i love the Slimming world plan. As long as you include it in your count, no food is forbidden.

That’s the way it should be. This isn’t a diet, it’s a lifestyle change. And, like I said, deprivation doesn’t work. At least not for me. I eventually cave and eat the refrigerator

Congrats on the loss

Today it’s:

Breakfast: Bran Flakes.
Dinner: Chicken Curry & Rice.
Supper: Probably a sandwich.

love chicken curry–as long as its a mild one–korma !

Oh no, not a Korma Mariana, too mild for me, hotter the better for me.

I make my own Curry from scratch, because I know what I am putting in it, these jars of curry sauce has got a lot of sugar and fat in them.

I make curry at least once a week, either Indian, Chinese or Thai.

Mornin’ Lassies,
I know I’ll never get My 24" waist back again,I’m stuck at 32" and I think that’s where it’ll stay so I won’t let it bother Me

Having an indulgence day so probably a Chinese lunch and a couple of glasses of wine with Daughter, throwing caution to the wind for once, :-p

My cousin and I are going out for Chinese this weekend. Yum!

Weigh-in day. Lost another pound. I’m quite surprised, actually, since I ate somewhat carelessly over the last weekend. But scale still moving in the right direction.

Lost 2 pounds at Slimming world—so thats 8 pounds in the last few weeks–
got a certificate too !! But I had already lost quite a lot before I joined.

Woohoo Mariana,well done

We didn’t have a Chinese meal after all but went for a walk around Strathclyde loch, then into the Carvery for roast beef and all the trimmings
ordered cheesecake for afters but couldn’t finish it,far too sweet,so My sugar cravings seem to be long gone thank goodness.
