… or perhaps I have only just noticed - but when answering a post in another thread something popped up up in the bottom left of the screen. A little alert that someone else was already replying to the same post. At first I thought ‘so what’ but then realised it was actually very useful. Waited to press the reply button until the other person’s post landed - as they might have already said what I was about to say.

If you see someone posting but then see their avatar at the bottom still for a while, they’re probably editing.
I’ll edit some of it and see if you can see this.

If they post something, then delete it, yes you can see it. You can see their corrections whenever they post to edit again.
Yesterday, you could also see people’s revisions. Azz may have taken that function out. I don’t see it right now.

You can still see post-revisions, and the reason we’ve made them viewable by everyone is that sometimes people post something (nasty) then edited it out before they thought a mod could see - so this way they know they can’t get away with it

In that case, if anyone wants to see my revisions, click the yellow pencil in the top right of my post. That should show you how I changed my post every time I changed it. Without the nasty stuff.

It’s great having these little additions to the forum but there is another side I find odd. I have for some reason now got the thread titled ‘paint pouring ‘ on my history list and cannot clear it. How it got there is a mystery .

Possibly out of curiosity azz but I don’t think I joined in the thread. Why can’t I clear it from my history. On iPad.
Which history do you mean Tezza? If your browsing history then that will probably show all threads (or web pages) you’ve been on. Can you take a screengrab and show us what you mean?
In google I tap the blue book , top l/hand corner , tap clear all time but that one item remains.
Did you accidentally bookmark it?
If not I guess in time it will be replaced by whatever else Google or your iPad thinks you might be interested in

Something that’s suddenly new. I get cut off and have to re log in . It just happened as I tapped on chat and was told I wasn’t allowed to view. Oooeer

It should keep you logged in Tezza, but if it doesn’t next time you log in the iPad may ask to save your password - if it does that might make it easier to log back in.
I’d also check your cookie settings, I’m not sure about the iPad but some computers automatically delete cookies everyday…
