New gal on the block ....

Hello
Dont you hate it when asked to say some thing about your self… I normally start with um …um…
Well Im a young 52 year old tomboy… My joys in life are most things that make me grubby like gardening, walking my dogs through rivers and woodland (yes I still climb the odd tree) renovating an old barn thats full of spiders and muck.
My clean hobbies are learning french where I spend alot of time, reading, and cooking (maybe that should go in the grubby side as I wear most of what I cook:shock: )
Im here to meet new friends and maybe some walking partners as trying to get conversation from my two dogs is like pulling teeth…
So fingers to keyboards ladies and come and say hello:-D I only bite on Monday mornings;-)

Hello gal,
Welcome here… A good start 'cos I love Cornwall, you lucky ‘Baggy’ you !..

Hello Pats thanks for the welcome , Im not actually in Cornwall at the mo Im on hol in France where its snowing its about 4 inch at the mo. The dogs love it but poor cat is bursting for a pee he has a tray but would rather chop his tail off than use it… I open the door for him but he,s no more going out than he’s going to use the tray … some thing is going to have to give soon. !!! Mean while he is just going to moan about it. I have a stray cat out side who I havnt seen today so Im hoping he is tucked up in the hay in the barn.

Hello baggy, welcome to the forum.

Glad it’s not a biting day anyway, can’t be bad if you’ve got dogs and cat, animals know best. So Welcome and many happy postings :039::024:

Many Thanks … As your a senior member can you tell me where I find the coffee and are there any loo’s here? ;0)

I dont have cats and dogs … they have me !! foot servant , door man , waitress, and fire maker …I know my place in life

Hello man with my favorite name … my dad and brother are both joe’s
Thanks for the welcome …
Its now 5 inchs out side so im going to curl up on my sofa and natter for a while what are you doing to day ?

Hi mags and thanks … finding my way around fine … but as normal I cant shrink my pic’s enough to make an album … no point trying to tell me how as it goes in one ear and out the other … but found one small enough for my avatar(not that any one can see my dog !!) so will keep searching for other small ones …Are you able to copy it to my album or not ? Thanks

Baggy darlin’ - go have a look at my ‘profile’ and you’ll see me in my super, duper riser/recliner armchair - which is where I am at this very moment writing this on my laptop. This is my ‘normal’ position (supine). Not doing too much as Arthritis in hips and knees (I’ve had all four joints surgically replaced with Titanium ones) makes exercise somewhat painful, particularly in cold and/or wet weather.

Thats a great smile you have there … ;0)
So now I know where the 6million dollar man went when he retired ;0)
I get a bit creaky as well in the cold but it happens to the best of us I guess.
A quick look at your photos I see you have travelled , where was your favorite place ? I like the sun to keep my bones warm …Thats why im in the south of france at the mo where its snowing at a rate of knots think I made a mistake there some where ;O(
Oh dear I see you dont suffer fools …So I guess I wont be making it into your little black book hey ? Still at least I know Im one … more than I can say for others I have met !!!

Baggy darlin’ - you’re fine. As to favourite place - Hmmmm - tough one, but I guess Cyprus (have put some of the photos I took there on my page), particularly Paphos. Was there in September 2011 - wall-to-wall sun, temperatures 32 oC in the day and never dropped below 20 oC at night (the hotel was air-conditioned).

Many years ago I used to do a lot of mountain climbing (sadly no longer possible) and I had a favourite spot in the Carpathians (actually the high Tatras) in Northern Slovakia/Southern Poland (google Stary Smokovec and you’ll see what I mean).

Im on a mountain here , the walking is fantastic I can go all day and not meet a soul. The dogs run free and fantasic views over to the Pyranees which are snow topped at the moment … In the summer its so warm here I go swimming in a lake just down the road I wish I could live here for ever …
I love Greece and Cyprus as well fantastic place

Welcome Baggy - my wife and I prefer lakes and mountains to cities and sandy beaches. Never been to the Pyrenees but have had lots of holidays in the Alps.

Im in the mountain range just before the pyranees, so I get good views of it from the distance here. Im North of Carcassonne.
But I think they have sent us their snow today Brrrr

Hello Baggy  welcome, I look forward to chatting with you…
