New gal on the block ....

Hi Baggy from another newbie. Lovely part of France you are in . Visited there a few years back a friend of mine was living in a vineyard just outside Carcassonne went to do some touring around for 3 weeks and spent the first week sitting in front of his log fire drinking wine and listening to his Joe Jackson LP.

Hello fitou
Yes it is lovely here, But like you Im sat in front of a log fire at the moment … not that I need it as just been out to cut todays wood and Im boiling now , but it wont take long to cool down as its freezing here , more snow over night has made it hard to walk the dogs to far …so they are sat here now with bored faces on …

Waves hello and welcome to baggy … Carcassonne I was there last year brilliant . I’m a newbie too xxx

Far, far too energetic for my taste darlin’. If I need heat, I just push a button and the gas c/h boiler suplies it. I have a large double radiator right beside my chair (remember that from yesterday???) and I can be supremely comfortable and warm within minutes. Besides, which, walking in snow brings its own dangers for me - one slip and I could dislocate my metal hip and need surgery again to put it back again.

Ripple … where in Carcassonne did you stay ? Did you have a car to get about and see some of the stunning country side? Im interested in peoples view of the area because Im thinking about starting one to one holidays for women travelling alone .
Uncle Joe … I do know what you mean as I have a pin in one leg after an accident and some times a trapped nerve if I move in a wrong way.plus a million other aches and pains … but If I dont chop it now one else will . I wont go far today because of the ice but normally I find a long walk will ease the pains in my joints and back plus it helps to keep me fit . Not only that the dogs would revolt if they didnt have a fire to lay in front of …
