My Mups

I am happy to hear that Mups is improving…

Thank you Blue.
It is hard to believe there is anything wrong with her at the mo. She has been feeding well, and doing things her own funny way, as she always does.
I am not entirely happy with her breathing when she’s asleep, but that may be unrelated to what he’s looking for.

I have got to fast her after 8pm this evening, then tomorrow morning get a urine sample quickly, then whizz off to have her there for 9.10 am.
I know she will worry when she sees me walking away without her, and likewise, it always upsets me driving back home with an empty seat next to me in the car. :frowning:

Will post an update tomorrow.

I’ll be watching for your update…my fingers are crossed…
I know how you feel. I cry when my pets have to go in and I have to come back without them. It is terrible…

Good luck Mups #1 and Mups #2

I hope all goes well for you and little Mups tomorrow, Mups.

Will be thinking of you both…

Good luck for tomorrow for you and your darling little Mups x

Thank you my friends.

We are all ready.
She’s her breakfast packed all ready to take with her, and got her wee pot ready to fill before she goes and I gave her a good brush and trim this afternoon to make her look a pretty girl.

I know I’m always banging on about my very special vet aren’t I, but here is yet another example of his dedication to his patients.
My phone went just before 9 o/clock tonight and I nearly didn’t pick it up because it showed the number was being witheld.
Anyhow, I did, and it was my vet - on a bank holiday Monday at 9 o/clock at night! Does that man never rest?

He just phoned to say he was likely to be very busy in the morning after his holiday, and wouldn’t have a lot of spare time to talk, so if there was anything I was worried about did I want to discuss it now, incase he can’t spend long with me when I leave her tomorrow.

That man is unbelievable and I luv him to bits, I really do.
How extraordinarily kind some people are.
I know she will be in good hands.

.

Hope it all goes well Mups:)

I wish you both the best of outcomes.

Good Luck Mups and furry Mups!

Mups  hoping the test results are ok with ‘little Mups’,

I have the cleanest kitchen when my dogs are at the vet, I scrub everything in sight to fill the time…:frowning:

Good luck for today Mupses. We are all thinking of you both. x

Hope its good news Mups

Well, in we went this morning, complete with urine sample.

I held her while he took the blood from her Jugular, then we went to a private room where I was to feed her her breakfast. She refused to eat.
I had taken a choice of two of her favourite meals, but she refused both. She was on edge.
I knew she wouldn’t eat there, feeding her face was the last thing on her mind while she felt so apprehensive.

I went back in the surgery and told them I was taking her out to my car as I thought she might eat once we were away from the surgery.
We sat in the car with the radio on, and she relaxed straight away, and tucked into her cooked chicken with relish, and cleared the lot.

Then I had to take her back into the surgery - her little face fell - and leave her for her next blood test, x-rays and scan.
It’s so hard walking away when they don’t want you to go, isn’t it. :frowning:

Just after lunch, the vet phoned me and said she could go home. I went straightaway to fetch her.
The vet told me they had found no tumours in her chest or lungs whatsoever.

You can imagine how happy I was.
Only thing is, although I was ecstatic there were no tumours showing, in that case, what is causing her bone marrow to go into overdrive and send out so many immature red blood cells? At the moment, it is still a mystery.

He has now taken more blood, for more tests (incuding liver function) and we should get those results back tomorrow.

So I’ve got my little girl home - with her newly shaved tummy  - and she ate all her tea and is now sound asleep next to me.

We’ll just have to see what tomorrow brings.

Oh Mups - that is such good news - I know how worried you must have been; Let’s hope the tests show that whatever it is can be treated safely for her. Give her a big hug - and have a couple for yourself!

Bless you Tabs, thank you. x

Good news about th’old pooch Mups.

Thank you Judsy. x

That’s great news Mups, it must have been such a huge relief to you to know there was no trace of tumours.

Big hugs being sent from me too…

Yes Mags, it certainly was wonderful news, though I am still concerned as to what is causing her problems though.
We have got the first part sorted at least, and I will sleep better tonight now I’ve got my girl home. x
