Hi. @Robert_Junior’s daughter here, just found this forum and reading dad’s posts. Can practically hear his voice. As you probably guessed he died suddenly on 6th June 2019, heart attack in the garden like the Godfather. He would have liked that. Especially with the spitfire flypast going on at the time. Nurse Gillian was with him and we like to think he is up there with aunt phythian, uncle Vivian and the 2 old ladies from the pet shop.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Robert was a popular and active member here and he will be missed. I know it’s been a few years but I know that the pain is always there (just somehow, some way, our bodies seem to ‘handle’ it better over time). I hope you and the rest of his family and friends are doing ok
I’ve added a ‘Fondly Remembered’ tag to his profile, if you ever feel like going through his posts you can find them via his profile: Profile - Robert_Junior - Over 50s Chat
Take care, and if you feel up to it, it might be nice you starting a thread with some photos of him and his life (no problem if you don’t feel up to it tho)
PS I have split these posts into a dedicated thread.
Thankyou, that’s very kind. He was an authentic man and from what I’ve read on here represented himself exactly as he was in real life - funny, intelligent, kind, and a little bit of a show off lol
How nice to hear from you! I hope you found your dad’s conversations a small treasure and that you are finding plenty to laugh and smile about from his posts.
