If he had posted all this stuff on Social Media, why did nobody alert the police or Social work…I would have done that if I’d seen it. Or was it just to specific sites on that “dark web” malarky?
Would imagine there are only so many people being able to track so many people at any one time.
They probably tend to focus on paedophiles and potential terrorists. Maybe @swimfeeders can verify this, if he’s a mind to?

From what I’ve read in the papers over the last year or so, the modern strains of marijuana, like skunk, are far stronger that what was around when we were teenagers.
The names of the victims have been released.
The first victim was his mother before the bastard went out into the street and killed a three-year-old little girl, along with her father, before shooting two more victims, one of whom died at the scene, while the other died of her injuries in hospital. He shot and injured two more before turning the gun on himself.

I suspect there’s an element of ‘payback’ involved.
Payback against those who you feel let you down … or appear to be happier than you.
If you just kill yourself and you feel that unloved you might fear no one will notice you’ve gone … so you go out with a bang. Literally.
And make the world sit up and notice you.

As mentally sick people usually refuse to believe they need help then nothing happens!!
It is a chicken and egg situation!!
Even doctors will not discuss this with you, or can recommend a way to break the loop?
Societies set up to deal specifically with this problem simply pass you ontosome other society
and so on and so on!!
The answer you get is always the same, " the patient must present themselves " !!

The problem with Social Media is that there are very limited powers to remove posts unless there is a provable imminent risk.
We value our privacy.
In any event there are far to few staff available to deal with digital issues.
@Donkeyman raises a valid point. Mental illness is real and we need to be more aware of the state of our young people.
They face challenges we could never even dream of in our youth.
Life’s tough.
Please don’t shoot me down, I’m not trying to justify his behaviour but I am saying this incident highlights the realities of mental illness/health.
I believe two doctors have to certify you … and then you can be detained under the mental health act for a 3 month period whilst you’re assessed.
Don’t ask me where you’re detained. I suspect help for the mentally unstable has suffered serious cutbacks.
