Mark's Poems & Prose

That’s lovely Rachel, and so sad too.

I can relate to that Rachel … touching words :frowning:

my goodness ~ I’m FABULOUS when it really comes down to it !

Can take you by surprise these heartfelt poems. When they do appear they are much appreciated and probably help with recovery too.

Load of ****** you meant to say

Well it certainly surprised me, cos I was writing something entirely different and pleasantly silly in reply to your very rude remarks about my literary skills ! lol

Suddenly I had to stop and those words took over … goodness me blubs

It certainly took me by surprise, but as for helping with the recovery ~ I think not

sentimental rubbish
disgusting
maudlin
stuff and nonsense

Did anyone ever recover from Bambi’s mother being killed ?
I think it had a profound effect on the lives of many children and, no doubt, colours one’s ability to enjoy Disney animations and films centered around animals

That was beautiful Rachel.

 Thank you Annie

It just happened

Took over and wouldn’t let me stop
There would have been another bit but I yanked myself away before I became ‘suicidal’ lol

A thought provoking load of ******

A thought provoking load of ******

When human activity is omni-present
does it mean that we appreciate a pheasant
roasted to perfection and placed on the table
with varying accompaniments, as one’s host is able … ?

Yes … the birthday month is with us once more
for a number of members as in days of yore.
We feast, we celebrate, as far as we may
and after that, do we savour the day ?

Good, bad, indifferent ? the years all differ
life changes all ways ~ we go forward or wither.
An extra number to our years on this planet
So WHAT ? do we care ? we eventually vanish

Poignant ~ deep even and very good  .

An empty room a vacant chair something missing everywhere. My heart a place only you can fill i love you sweetheart and always will.

I like that,very nice Marki.

That’s sad but beautiful blubs a bit

I agree, that brought a tear to my eye.

Mum’s funeral was a good event
Not too many people but she was well ‘sent’
Along her way … or already there ?
With my Dad at last to share
Decades or centuries, always together
Enjoying their peace in a place of leisure
When all this earthly world is done
We should just rest and have some fun
No more the trials, those days of angst
The agonies suffered, so we give thanks
Remembering times of joy and sorrow
Ever moving ahead with hope for tomorrow

That is beautiful Rachel, well done! a fine tribute to your Mother. My belated condolences.

That is a beautiful tribute to your Mum, Rachel…

A fitting tribute.

All that practising paid off by the looks of it - just in time  .

Nice  .

Lovely Rachel x

Thank you all
I needed to say something (corny as it may be) to get it out of my head and settled
