Nurse Gillian drove me to a garden centre for afternoon tea today…I am a natural born gardener & can be critical if I think any plants are being uncared for. I am known to the staff through the many gems of advice I have given to the ladies there. The men scuttle off or pretend to be busy when they see me.
Anyway, the walled garden next door is open to the public, but today it was closed for a wedding reception. Not one to be easily put off us wheeled us around the back of the gathering& waited for them to finish.
Unfortunately we had not realised that we had chosen the path for the wedding procession to take. They streamed out in pairs and we were pushed ahead of these privileged garrulous toffs then finally pushed to one side while they passed us noisily but happy I thought I’d end up with my head in the compost heap full of alpaca dung…not for the first time.
Oh I say Young Robert pushed aside!!!
I would write to the Queen.
