Leisurely Scribbles (part 5) (Part 1)

Did you hear about the confused cat?
…had a crap and buried itself.

I used to attend a weekly origami class
…but it folded.

Sooty invited me to his bbq last weekend
…we had a Sweep steak.

I just found an old 2001 railway return ticket in my wallet
…wow-that took me back.

I’ve been dyslexic all my life and expect to remain so
…after all,a leotard never changes it’s pots.

  • and finally Esther -

I just got a job with the council, collecting litter
…no training involved;I’ll just pick it up as I go along.

AI THENKYOH

[I’ll now sit tremulously awaiting the backlash…tremble tremble…]

Didst speak, that caused you all to go?
Or is it sumfink more mundane;

This Thread has been infiltrated, no skuses.

How far back can you go?? - really well the further you can go the better!!

I have two remaining school chums that are both contactable by email although we don’t correspond much - you do recall that friends re-united has collapsed don’'t you?

I have a few relatives remaining of my vintage [mines a port thanks] in UK who can be contacted by phone in an emergency

I have three remaining mates from my early working days still contactable by phone only. and that’s it

the further you keep marching forwards they more you realize that when you turn and look back the following army has deserted!!

on my tomb I would like the inscription:

I led them as far as I could, and then carried on alone

Pug, you are getting your artistes confused.

It was John Inman who was free. Dick Emery was a generation earlier with Mandy who was awful.

I know you like facts so I am feigning pedanticy (is that a word)

Gumbud

Re old pals gumbud, the person I knew the longest was my mother, happily promoted to Glory in 2011, when I was 63.

I am occasionally in contact with 2 blokes I started school with in 1953 & a further 3 from 1959. Friends in business date from 1964. My last remaining aunt is 94 & uncle is 97.

So now we know.

Living now in a retirement home all our friends here are in the 80-99 range & our main social gatherings are funerals. Now counting our days remaining.

Pug, I met John Inman in about 1972 at the opening of a new mens wear dept, he was exactly as described on the packet.

I like Spreadsheets, you can count on them.

I like the bottom line.

I like numbers (this could be due to an influence =Sum (≥ my Parent-thesis))

Sorry about that.

thank you spitfire can you get your time zones right??

It is easy to lose the sense of time when venturing into the Twilight Zone.

I met Dick Emery several times when I was doing studio musician work,RJ.
I didn’t realise we were quoting from just one show…‘you DURTEH old man!’

Anyway…apropos of sfa…
I’ve applied for a job with Microsoft in their W12 development dept.
I don’t know if I was successful-they haven’t yet answered my telegram.
