it’s all right for you goin away what about the rest of us left with that miserable man Pugs?
I could never understand what was meant in the old gangster films by the expression “Stick your hands up and don’t make a false move” I get the stick your hands up bit, but how does one make a false move? Surely all movement is positive, and how does one make a false one? Baffles me, maybe my old mate Pug could furnish an answer? he who makes everything clear to dummies like myself.
In the Hercule Poirot series on ITV3 last night.
She says to her fiancé “I don’t love you anymore John, I love David, i don’t know if we’ll be happy together, but the thing is I don’t care, love is bigger than happiness”
Funny, I thought they were both the same size and always went side by side.
Well Gummy, you’ve been around the planet a lot in your day, is love bigger than happiness?
you’re watching too much TV Jem - get out a bit more!!
However in the true spirit of leisurely scribbles - Is love bigger than happiness?
well they also say that love is blind ! so if that is so then how can it tell if it’s bigger than happiness if it can’t see where it’s going?
somebody else said " falling in love is a complete collapse of 'ego boundaries" - so how can you be happy if ya ego boundaries have collapsed? - it is even worse than ya kilt falling down leading to the phrase " donald wher’s ya truusers!? "
something my dear chum pugsie is very much aware of - he has a terrible problem with his kilt - it is in a constant slipping mode!
what was the question again - oh yes is lurve bigger than happiness - NO I think it’s a fools paradise and can never surpass real happiness - 50% of married people in UK get divorced why because they are no longer in love and no longer happy - as soon as they separate they become happy again - don’t they?
I rest my case - cos I’m bloody exhausted answering all these questions - I do think RJ should be consulted because spitties comments will be so obtuse and confusing we will be no wiser reading them!
Sweetie is a woman so she will always be confused about happiness and love! - love is a pearl necklace and that makes me happy - what the hell does that mean?
AND Jem - you crafty character - wot do yu fink!!
This is for starters.

yes my dear - but there were three kinds of ‘love’ quoted in the bible - one was filial [ love to ones parents and family] one was eros - the compassioned love of lovers and agape - love of god and others unconditionally - there are other types but that would just confuse you - the one you are quoting above is ‘agape’ unconditional and not eros - the love of passionate!
Well Gummy oh lord and master. This is one of my favourite songs. This is for mains. I will finish with afters:mrgreen:
all singers of ‘love’ songs sing of eros love only!
In the Theogony of Hesiod (fl. 700 bce), Eros was a primeval god, son of Chaos, the original primeval emptiness of the universe, but later tradition made him the son of Aphrodite, goddess of sexual love and beauty, by either Zeus (the king of the gods), Ares (god of war and of battle), or Hermes (divine messenger of …
Eros was the Greek god of love, son of Aphrodite and either Ares or Hermes. In some myths, he was considered a primordial god, a child of Chaos, who blessed the union of Gaia and Uranus after which the universe came into existence.
so???
exactly - case closed! you lost to love again?
filial love?
what absolutely rubbish - you are clutching at straws missey!
What about the camel???
can he not pass through the eye of a needle?
Straw we woz talking straw:mrgreen:
you mean the straws wot broke the camels back??
is it true that swans mate for life??
