Now there’s a well built bridge - British of course!!

Just as long it is not a bridge to far.

Baroness Jowell, who was one of the Labour Party’s best known faces during Tony Blair’s era, went on to say how she had taken solace from Irish poet Seamus Heaney.

She said: ‘Seamus Heaney’s last words were do not be afraid. I am not afraid, but I am fearful that this new and important approach may be put into the “too difficult” box.’

this pic takes me back many moons to my childhood in the 'pool - what would your observations about the bricks be?

but even more curious - what about that external door in the upper left of the pic - what might its function be - [see spittie for prizes for this one!]

Not a clue Gummy Bear.

OMG SP - not clueless again or is that shoeless [no you’ve got plenty of them?] what am I searching for here - legless that’s it!! hic!

It baffled me this early.
What!!! It must be 4 pm with you?

with me it’s just party time all the time tuts!!

well lets wait and see if there is anyone brighter on LS today - and after all tuts you are a spring chicken around these parts - NO not around spitties parts - “these parts” try to stay focused!!

Well Gummy Bear, I know who the pic belongs to - So there.
Jack Hulme
During Jack Hulme’s life he took more than 10, 000 photographs of the people of Fryston going about their everyday business.

I can only guess, that the door is some kind of delivery hatch. For what???

There were plenty of Bridges in Hollywood, Lloyd Bridges, Jeff Bridges, Beau Bridges, Garret Bridges, and there was a sister called Cindy Bridges.
Hollywood eventually got fed up with the Bridges and their drinking, one producer was overheard shouting at their collective agent Slim Girders “Bridges, Bridges, we don’t need your stinking Bridges”

My son knew Seamus Heaney, he did some printing for him back in the late 1990’s, a very down to earth man he tells me, poor old Shea is gone now, so is the printing game as we knew it.:frowning:

I’ll study that photo Gummy and give you my analysis later, I know who you nicked it from too, he had it up a good few years ago, see me memory ain’t as bad as I thought it was.
I have some old townie pictures on a disk somewhere, no titles on them just interesting snaps of the old days in the heart of the city. I still haven’t sorted out all me stuff onto the new machine.
Right now I’m making hay while the Sun shines and lying out in the garden painting, I’m turning my lily white legs brown.

excuses excuses as usual young Jem - get ya Utubes workin
never mind ya legs lad we’re digging out skin melanomas everyday over here due to that reckless behavior!!

and can I just point out that I am not nickin anyfing - I just copy it from one site here and move it to another - no stealin in that me lord - according to Irish law!

you just stick on reforming the church over there - take all that port out of the church cellars and lets get sober!! - teetotal even!
