To me, a Lady is relating to a woman with respect. A woman is really just a gender reference, but a Lady, now that is showing due respect.

To me a lady is prim and proper. In Texas a lady was to be respected. I think it’s the difference between a Gentleman and a guy, fellow, male. Anyone can be the latter.
