Joy and glee at the BBC!

Am l the only one to notice the joy and glee displayed
on BBC presenters faces when introducing and discussing
anything related to Boris Johnson and his misadventures ??
Even the weatherlady was smiling this morning !!
So much for not showing bias?

canā€™t say i noticed

Yes.

He took a swipe at them, last week.

Heā€™s going to get a lot of ā€œaftersā€ for that!

No, Iā€™m sure you are not the only one who is prone to seeing what he wants to see.

Canā€™t say I noticed as I never watch their claptrap.
Of course they are going to take great delight in anything which talks down the Tories and any right-wing groups, as they themselves are clearly socialist/marxists.

Yes I have. We used to watch the 6 oā€™clock news but got fed up with their pathetic reporting. So we now ignore the Biased Broadcasting Corporation and watch GB News instead.

Donā€™t stop there, letā€™s make them Satanists, as well. :096:

You profess to never watch TV Harbie !

@Flowerpower , Me too , the venom used against Boris has only
been exceeded when remainers lost the referendum ??
Could there be a connection do you think ?

@Tedc , l believe thereā€™s talk of defunding them!:grin::grin:
No wonder the presenters are pissed off with Boris !!

I havenā€™t noticed this in BBC presenters either - and the people telling us about the weather are often pleasant and smiling - trying to look for the silver lining amongst the clouds!
I havenā€™t watched any news tonight but I usually watch BBC News at 6 pm, then ITV News at 10pm.
I donā€™t see more bias or smugness in BBC presenters than ITV - but Iā€™m not particularly looking for it.
Of the two, I reckon that ITV presenters show more emotion in their faces during broadcasts than BBC - especially Tom Bradby.
I prefer his news broadcasts.

The news person who seems to be enjoying BJā€™s present discomfiture the most, in my opinion, is Robert Peston, who reports on ITV - he seems to be having a bit of a field day with it.

@Boot , l must be hypersensitive to TV personalities from the
look of things??
I have noticed this on other channels as well now you mention
it ?
Donkeyman! :thinking::thinking:

I think it is really amusing that there are people who believe that the BBC does not consistently show bias on a range of matters in fact they are so concerned about their position if and when Scotland become independent there is very little criticism of the SNP government by BBC Scotland.:smiley:

Thereā€™s some sarky gits on Sky News too.

Have you ever witnessed the likes of Jon Craig, Beth Rigby and other Political Commentators openly struggling to hide a smile. Theyā€™re in the entertainment game.

Hi

Boris is being criticised by all the media, includibg the right wing.

There is a public anger about this.

Well, a little bit of schadenfreude is human nature when someone you dislike or has tried to do you down finds themselves in the poop :poop::poop::poop::poop:

But no, I canā€™t say Iā€™ve seen any gloating on the Beeb, I think youā€™re just looking for it and seeing what you want to see

Of course the media are enjoying getting stuck in, itā€™s good stories for them. Kate Burley is giving it her all!

But I bet if the boot were on the other foot and it was a woke Leftie politician in trouble youā€™d see some grinning and gloating on GBNews, they donā€™t even pretend to be neutral

But if you really want to see some joy and glee, come round my house, Iā€™ll do you tea and cake :coffee::cake:

But Iā€™m thoroughly enjoying seeing Johnson suffer and squirm. I think heā€™s a disgusting liar and a show up to our country and he deserves all heā€™s getting, so joy and glee all the way here!

I know it wonā€™t last, heā€™s Teflon with no decency and heā€™ll wriggle out, aided and abetted by his chums and supporters with no decency either.

But still enjoying the momentā€¦ā€¦:imp:

@Maree , l think the reason for my concern about Boris is
because l am worried about who will replace him ?
I have a funny feeling itā€™s going to be some hyped up remainer
that has no idea what democracy is about Maree ?
I am not bothered about Boris himself l only voted for him because he claimed to be going the way l wanted !!
Donkeyman! :-1::frowning::-1:

Yup, I do get it. Once Brexit won the referendum they should just have got on and done it, however unfair I think the referendum was.

So people voted for Johnson to get Brexit

But that doesnā€™t get you lot of the hook.

By voting in someone with his history you landed us with a Prime Minister with no integrity or decency.

And we didnā€™t need someone like that leading us through Covid.

Anyhow, he had no intention of getting you the type of Brexit he promised anyway. He just wanted to be PM

Thatā€™s what you get for voting for a liar

And itā€™s the same now with thinking keeping him might be better because you donā€™t like the look of potential replacements

Really, could any of them be any worse? And do you really want a liar and a laughing stock in charge leading us through the situation with Russia?

The tea and cake offer is still on, though :coffee::cake:
