As big as an albatross, but with brightly coloured plumage like a parrot, and a hooked beak like a hawk. It was similar to a vulture in some respects, but with the shrewd, intelligent-looking eyes of a penguin (I like penguins) and the brightly patterned waistcoat of a golfer and the legs to prove it. (Note: It is a well-known medical fact that the uglier the legs the better the golfer).

Thanks - but no thanks. Cap’n’s nicked me binnacle, thrown me in the jolly boat and dumped me overboard - said I was insubordinate - as if!! Never been in a sub in my life.
Well … If I am not wanted I’ll just plot a course for home and start rowing. Or I could unpick me gansey and knit it up again as a sail!
