Dreamy you need to contact your psychiatrist. You need support!
Please keep your phone ready.
Just phone 999 if you feel ill.
I cannot believe this has happened!
My prayers are with you, but you need help.
Oh it is crazy what you have been through, then to send you home with NO support!
Keep us posted.
Iām so sorry fFosse⦠Mortiās right, keep the radio on it will keep you grounded especially in the night.
Thanks, and yes, youāre both right - Iāve been sent home with no support, just the fever which I think is better treated in hospital. But they donāt know what it is so it keeps coming back. Getting up was torture this morning, I think I spilt about half a cup of coffee from the kitchen to the living room. Iāve got my space heater and a hat on to try and stay warm. I will be making some phone calls come 9.
And, Morticia, I do keep the TV on in the background a little mindless shopping channel it seems to take the edge off.
Itās a choice between having this virus treated in hospital (but they canāt fix it) or me at home, trying to deal with it with paracetamol althoughn the numbers go up during the day and I start to feel really unwell until I can take the paracetamol again. But I still get the nightmare of walking in my sleep and feeling terrible, really.
I donāt know what to do. I could go back to hospital today for evaluation and they might keep me in but Iām angry with them over the past few days dramas.
It seems all I can do is wait it out and see if I get sicker (more likely) or slightly better I doubt. I wish I just had some more strength. TV in the background has helped me a bit.
Iām glad I got a new vaper, though as 2 broke both on the same night. Now Iāve got this one Iām going to try and look after it.
Theyāve got their own number and ambulances, I would just end up there again at ward 2 for a lengthy wait, then upstairs to ward 8 - I must have done this 4 times since Friday. For a couple of days last week I was fine, it was great, then I got sick again and I can feel the cancer sucking away at me.
My late BIL had both COPD and MH issues.
He was discharged from hospital once with a bad chest infection, his temp like you, kept spiking, and he was scared.
He was also very delirious at times, so as he was about to go manic, we persuaded him to take a rest in the Psychiatric hospital, they would keep a watchful eye on him.
This might be a good option dreamy, as they will send you to the main hospital if needed.
Apart from that, I donāt know what to suggest.
Cancer does drain you, are you able to eat properly.
Where are the Macmillan Cancer Support nurses?
I cannot believe you are once again facing all this alone.

Well I just visited my head of Practise at my surgery and she: sorted out my constipation which the hospital never took seriously. Got sputum from a cough that was never there whilst I was in hospital and got a few other samples. Local doctors can be so much better.
Yes, all those paracetamol cause constipation.
At least now!!! It might get sorted Dreamy. x
Hereās hoping - the Hospital want to see me on Thursday, but Iām just so sick of the place I said no.
Theyāre going to phone me on Wednesday Morning but I wonāt have changed my mind. That was the weekend from hell.
OK, so today Iāve phoned the heamotology hotline twice, mainly for advice given that Iām taking paracetamol rather than refraining from it which is what theyād normally suggested. They said that if all my blood work was good, the doctors had prescribed paracetamol, then their advice must have been good.
I contacted my G.P. and got the Head of Practice. She diagnosed my constipation and I should get the tablets tomorrow.and partly assuaged my fears, saying that all the doctors work was to the good. She did uncover one infection the doctorās didnāt, though - a mild chest infection which the Western General Hospital missed.I believe in getting my medication delivered because Iāve just been so exhausted myself. Itās difficult to get very far. Iāll need to get a taxi to the bank tomorrow.
I also phoned a Mcmillanās nurse who was able to give me advice based on my cancer which I was curious about, not really haveing searched myself.
So much information and the most confusing of it coming from the hospital itself. I truly believe that half the young doctors I saw over the weekend had little experience, less than many doctors and not really up to scratch. This is partly because I think they had got it wrong in my case. Iāve honestly met porters whom I felt knew better.
My GP just phoned me back with some more information: she prescribed amoxycyllin for the chest infection and I should get those at around 1pm tomorrow. I have my bank appointment at 9:30 and Iām just going to take things slowly, getting a taxi both ways.
Itās good that my G.P. cares enough to phone me back with new information and is willing to answer new questions about my condition. Iām due to take my paracetamol at 8pm and hope to take another drug at an increased level later on - My Olanzapine, which Iām told I can now take at 15mg, normally for Bi-Polar but used lately to quell agitation.
Oh, good news Dreamy at last. You know yourself better than they do and got it sorted. x
Oh yes the Opines, they are used for many problems.
I hope you have a peaceful night Dreamy.

On new meds to day for chest infection the hospital missed but my GP found yesterday.
I had to go to my bank at 9am for some tech-related issues; if my voice is noticeably bad, like today, I generally tell people Iāve got cancer and get on with it. Went well today, though, and she spent a fair bit of time with me making sure I understood the issue.
Spent the rest of the day one minute hot, one minute cold in the house
Have you tried a yogurt a day to counteract the paracetamol effects. Works for me I have Activia everyday.
Also stops of that acid when you have had your meds.
Just a thought, it may help you.
Strange, but just today I opened an Onken Greek, the large one. I like natural yogurt anyway so this can only be good.
I seem to have got over my night terrors, too, having updated my dosage of Olanzapine from 10 to 15mg.
Good Dreamy. X
Iām sat at the 02 in London, checking on you. X
Forgetting about my Hospital appointment tomorrow, I am DEFINITELY not going. Iām too sick to go anywhere.
